Playstation 3 most definitely. Let's see:
-Free online with an extra premium service that doesn't take away the fun of the free version. Unlike the fact you have to pay $50 a year just to play online on X360.
-MUCH more exclusives. You got R&C, Killzone 2, Demon's Souls etc. The only exclusives the Xbox has are shooters, not saying they're bad shooters per se.
-Doesn't die anywhere near as much as the 360.

Couple of issues...
1. PSN + doesn't take away from free service? Umm i remember when i didn't have to pay for demo's on PSN
2. Exclusives? it's a matter of choice
3. The new 360 that he is talking about getting doesn't have the whole dieing issue, well not that can really be proved as of yet. FACT all electronics have a risk of failure.
u dont have to pay for demos :| if psn+ gets a demo...then normal users will get it a week later :|well, technicaly the 300 dollar PS3s are 160gbs now. I always say look at the Exclusives, as you can get multiplatform on either console and even if there differences in favor of the one you dont have, your not really gonna care are you? See whats in the future for these things and use that as well.
So here goes,
I'm in a huge dilemma right now. I currently own the first gen Xbox 360 w/ a 20GB harddrive. I'm a hardcore gamer and it is very difficult being on an older console with a very small harddrive. With the holiday season around the corner and all new deals coming with it, I can not decide to buy the Xbox 360 Slim 250GB or the Playstation 3 Slim 120GB. I cannot decide because I am a huge fan of many exclusive games to each system.
Which one do you think is the better deal? i.e. Price, games, multimedia, online community, etc.

ok, I actualy read your OP more, so maybe diregard my original one i did.
See, im in kind of the same position you are, although I already have a PS3. Im thinking fo saving for the new 360 as well, but my 360 I have now is glitching up kinda often, so I kinda have a need for a new one. You have a first gen one, and it has held up until now? impressive. You have to keep in mind that while your 360 hasnt broken now, more then liekly it will because its the first gen one and Im sure your Warranty is up by now even if it was extended by 3 years liek MS did.
So, your in a interesting spot. One one hand you can get the new 360 that isnt very likely to break and you can enjoy the games you have now without alot of fear of it breaking really. So you get peace of mind. but on the other hand you can get a PS3 and gain access to games you normaly couldnt because they are exclusive. Really, its hard to say. Do you have alot of interest in Bluray Movies? How many 360 games do you own right now? Is it enough to where if you bought a PS3, but your 360 red ringed later it would be kinda devastating (or as devastating as that kinda stuff could get)?
[QUOTE="edinsftw"]does it even support 1tb? I thought the limit was like 500gig.. ur probably right though.neither 1 tb + is the only way to go, buy the cheapest ps3 and just swap out the HDD

I heard that 1TB Internal HDDs arent that safe right now. i heard stuff about them breaking or overheating or whatever. I would suggest just going 500. really, do you need more then that?
