[QUOTE="De_Bears"]Wow buddy you have no right to generalize what a gamer wants. I have been playing some version of video games since pong, and I want the best out of the machine. I get the most out of my PS2 as a simple kitchen DVD player, whose to say I won't do that with Blu Ray PS3 one day.
If you can't see the difference then you need to blame your TV. With certain games and movies there is a certain omfg emotion I see with 1080p.
You seem to support the new 60gb 360 but don't care for digital dl....... why do you think they are adding more space in the first place.

They are adding more space to install games on the HDD. I have a 1280x1080 Hitachi Plasma TV, but I've also tested my HD-DVD player on my dad's FullHD 1080 Hitachi. They are nearly identical. Most movies look no better than DVDs on my Toshiba upconverter, or my dad's Samsung upconverter. So the TV is not to blame. Very few games run 1080p. Like MGS4 or GTAIV on PS3, neither run at HD 720p, let alone 1080p.
You have no right to generalize what gamers want. IMO gamers want games, not to spend $30 on movies they can get for $10-15. Movie buffs want movies. Gamers want games. The 60GB 360 is a great deal compared to the 40GB PS3 from a gaming perspective. You might bring the movie factor into play, but that's not from a gaming perspective.
He wasn't generalizing, you were.
There is a big difference between upconverted DVDs and BDs. Also, whoever buys BDs for $30 is being silly.
