The wii = budget car, Beetle or a focus/ civic roghly 15 thousand
The 360= a family SUV, Escape, Santa fe, explorer roughly 28 grand
The PS3= A hummer, roughly 50 grand.
Now When you buy a car, you buy one with the features you feel neccesary, for an appropriate price. That is how it works. If you have less features, it cost less, and different sets of features have different values to each consumer, so they get a Car just right for them.
But, when you buy A car, does anyone run up to you and say " My Hummer is a better value!!!! If you took you car to the shop, had the engine replaced to a V8, changed the Put on A chrome grill, and replaced the cab, It would cost you more than my hummer!!!" That is what cows are doing with the PS3. If people want the features of a PS3, they would buy one. Different things cost different prices, and the world has always operated like that.
Do you ruin out o the super market and say how Styrofoam cups are better than plastic?
Now, when people buy a console, even casuals do reasarch first. They don't just run out to the store and grab it off the shelf. They sit and say," what do I want to do with my Game console?" Do I want motion sensing? Then I can buy a Wii or a PS3. Do I want bluray? No. Do I need high def Graphics? No, So I'll get a Wii." That is how a consumer thinks. If we want the features of the PS3, we would have bought it.
And the way you phrase it, you seem to think that while we were deciding, we didn't think about how much live costs, or how much an HD-DVD player is. You didn't find out about some secret Add-ons hidden on a microfilm in central park. We all knew this, and we still decided to get a 360.
