Well, the problem lies in the fact that it doesn't have the most options/consumer choices. You're pretty much limited to having either shooters or racers at the moment. Hell, look at the highest-rated games:
GRAW, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Oblivion, Gears of War, Perfect Dark 0, Forza 2 - all but one of them control with dual-analog.
Look at the most-hyped games of the year:
Mass Effect, Bioshock, Halo 3 - Arguably, those are the games that 360 fans are looking forward to the most, and they're all shooters.
Yes, I know that Blue Dragon's coming out. I'm just saying that when 80% of your best games are centered around shooting, then you really have to be a shooter fan to enjoy the system.

where did you get 80 %? the only two really hyped shooters i see are bioshock and h3...
so wait, are you going to consider all other gamers (ME, fable 2, blue dragon, etc) to be shooters because they have guns in it? :?
