I'm still trying to figure out why and how the other two consoles are selling? well the wii I guess, I could make a console and sell it quicker than the ps3...

I've been PC gaming almost all my life, and i've never once been arrogant or ignorant enough to claim PC gaming is in every way superior to console gaming.

Best Future Line-up is an opinion. Also so is online considering some people might not think XBL is that great since it costs money. And all three systems have huge fanbases.

PC Games = Cheaper, free online in most cases with more players, and endless customization options that allow you to tweak the settings on intricate levels, use the widest variety of hardware and multiple control schemes.

Im actually thinking of picking up a new gaming PC... but PCs have tons of problems that a console does not. Free online is awful...full of hacks and cheaters and nothing from stopping people from doing it. A regulated community is a bonus. There is also portability and looks...a 360 looks alot better under a nice LCD display then a bulky PC.

Not to mention you left out a bunch of other aspects: price, marketability, and exclusives (not just games, but controls and other miscellaneous features).

The Xbox 360 does have a really nice future lineup...Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Alan Wake, and all of the multiplatform games like Unreal 3, GTAIV...

Not everyone has the means to support a gaming PC though, mainly because of the price. And don't give me that "you can get a decent PC for $600" crap -- if it's not powerful enough to run the newest games at max settings, then i'm afraid i'm not interested. At least that's piece of mind I can get with a console like the 360. Then of course we have game preference. Sadly not everyone in the world loves MMOs, shooters and RTS games. There is far more variety and choice with consoles in my opinion.

I would have never even thought he was trying to claim ownage over PC gaming when reading this thread just the Wii & PS3 if you hadn't freaked out.

But that all depends on what retailer you go to, how long a game has been out and whether there are special offers or not. I won't deny PC games are cheaper than 360 games when bought brand new, but if you managed your money well enough 360 software can easily be as cheap as PC software. I rarely buy games as soon as they come out, but it's all, like you say, "subjective" from gamer to gamer.

selling just over 10 million in almost 2 years ....is not what i would call dominating...when the wii is out about 6 months and its at 8 million strong...

and when the ps3 is 600 dollars and selling at a similar pace as the 360 in the first few months....

oh and nothing but shooters and sci fi games is not what i like to call variety either

Your opinion is flawed, I made a list of games that inrest me in order to decide whether to get an Xbo 360 or a new PC. There is more variety on PC and varierty withing the genres themselves. When is the Xbox 360 going to get a sim game like Sim Societies or Spore? Or a 4X game like Galactic civilizations II? Or a hardcore flight sim like Storm of War? Or an RTS game like Supreme Commander/Company of Heroes? A free roaming open world FPS like Crysis or Stalker? Or a hack and slash RPG like Titan Quest? Or something that combines that with WRPG elements like The Witcher? Or a good MMO? Will the Xbox 360 ever get an actualhardcore wargame like Combat Mission or Decicive Battles? Then there is the fact that Xbox 360 gets less than half of Adventure games than the PC. There is a lot of variety on the PC.

I admit it's somewhat ignorant of me, but I just don't see anything good other than the genres I mentioned (I will also add the RPG genre as one I enjoy, since I just thought of Baldurs Gate this second). Just because you don't like those games dosen't mean they aren't good. Hellgate London is made by formet Blizzard North members, Storm of War is being made by Maddox, the same guys who made IL2 Sturmovik; a game that beat Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator so bad that they left the market. Combat Mission games have been AAA, Decicive Battles: Korsun Pocket was hailed in the gamespot review as the best wargame in some time.

An opinion can be flawed, there is a diffrence between stating something suks and that its just not your taste. I and many other enjoy, 4X games, turnbased strategy, hardcore wargames and flight sims, Sim/Civ games, hack'n'slash RPG'sand Adventure games. All genres that the Xbox360 lacks.

Ofcoure I will get a console evetually simply becuase the PC will never get a game like God of War or Ninja Gaiden on it. So each platform excels a diffrent things I just think that your statement about the lack of variety on PC was lame.

A game like Resident evil 4 or Gears of war just wont work on a PC.
And an average PC = crap. Which means small monitor (19 inch or something), crap soundblasters and graphics arent that great.

i prefer almost all the exclusive games to console gaming over the exclusives to pc gaming...

GRAW, Rainbow 6 Vegas, Oblivion, Gears of War, Perfect Dark 0, Forza 2 - all but one of them control with dual-analog.

Look at the most-hyped games of the year:

Mass Effect, Bioshock, Halo 3 - Arguably, those are the games that 360 fans are looking forward to the most, and they're all shooters.

Yes, I know that Blue Dragon's coming out. I'm just saying that when 80% of your best games are centered around shooting, then you really have to be a shooter fan to enjoy the system.

By the way your Metroid Prime review, I was intrested in getting the game for my Wii since I did not own a gamecube. I noticed that you wrote it in 2007, did you actually play the game at that time or just wrote the review for it then? I am wondering if the game is still worth playing so long after release? Other than that it was a great review much better than the incoherentbias paragraph most people write.

Agree...The PC is the oldest thing out and counting it as a game console is just unfair as first of all it ain't a game console and even IF it has more options I still prefer Consoles...
