I have the chance of getting the Elite for 361.03 shipped and after taxes or getting the xbox360 Pro 60 system for 277.55 shipped and after taxes. My question is, what do you think is the better deal and what do you think I should order? Is the elite really worth 90 bucks more? What would you guys do? Thanks for the honest feedback.

The Pro is the better deal.  60GB is more then enough space (Elite has 120GB which is pointless imo).  The Pro doesn't come with a HDMI cable but you can buy one for like $5 off amazon.

The pro system. Also sign up for Gamefly they are amazing. You will be able to play more games with gamefly than jus tbuy them. Buy the Elite only if you need 120 gb and if you like the color black.

Run the the HDMI cord to the tv, and then use your optical out on your tv to the stereo, That way the stereo will work with whatever input your using on your tv.

Indeed, this man speaks the truth, and they run much quiter/no mid-game crashes when disc screws up.  And since each install is 4-6GB a pop, it stacks quick.  With XBLA and XB Originals, I seriously reccomend the Elite.  But whatever, buy whatever you think is more on par with what you're going to be doing.

It doesn't matter what you choose, it's a win win situation.
