And you must mean the Gears 3 bullshots, cause the other shots look really average, if you think it's going to look better then KZ2, UC2, HR, GoW III your crazy, let alone KZ3, UC3 etc...

there's no predefined standard for great, good, average, mediocre, bad....whatever. or at least on Metacritic.

8s on GS are "Great" 7s are "Good" 6s are "Fair" 5s are "Mediocre"

Fair and mediocre are closest to average. a 70-79 on a school's grading rubric is average. this is 85+ or it should be 80+. and considering quality tiers are AAA(90+) AA(80+) A(70+) BBB(60+), BB, B, CCC, etc.....

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure I've got the logical grasp here. by not cutting the AA tier in half, and that I wouldn't consider 'great' games to be average.

also, keep in mind, this was just exclusives, library would only do the other side more justice. still, it comes down to this thing I like to call an 'opinion'

we at SW should petition GS to make it this way: 90,95, 100 (editor's choice) 85(Great) 80(average) 70,75 (Good) , Fair, Mediocre, etc.

LoL 80 is a high scoring game now? :lol: THen why did lems hate on the PS3 for 2 years straight cause it didn't have AAAE's? it had plenty of 80+... Why are people around here so dissapointed when a game they've been hying for a long time gets AA? The video game review scale doesn't use the full scale, 80 is a good game 90 is a great high scoring game, however at Metacritic a lot of AAA games get around the 86 87 88 mark, these are high scoring games, not 80... 70 is weak, below 70 is trash. 85+ is the watermark for exellence according to Sony and Microsoft, it was Microsoft that first used this guideline at E3,so quit spinning good games into high scoring games.

UC2 ( if thats the game you are refering to ) in my mind has already been eclipsed by RDR on the 360.

and yes i own a PS3, i also own all the PS3 heavy hitters MGS 4 ( amazing ) LBP, Killzone 2, GOW 3 and the Overhyped UC2.

and all those games have one thing in common, after i played them they are now collecting dust in my collection.

stop worrying about visuals and concentrate on the fact that 360 is still killing the PS3 in games and quality DLC.

RAGE, CRYSIS 2 , Gears 3 and several other games are coming that will make you forget about UC2.

after playing RDR i already have.

this fall when 360 owners are once again playing the RPG of the year ( FABLE 3 ) And Halo Reach you will be wondering what all of this foolishness was about.

god forbid, but if a thief broke into my house id rather he take my PS3 and all its games than my 360.

360 has continued to own them and Sony for 5 years now, just enjoy the games and let the Bovines have UC2.

RPG of the year? lolz. that would go to Mass Effect 2. and Crysis and RAGE are also on PS3, and are said or they are likely to look a bit better on PS3.

and if were talkinga botu graphics, Reach really dosent look mind blowing. Although I do think itll be great fun.

Anyway, Graphics arent the end all be all, but they are still important to a extent.
