Tell me honestly, would you buy it ? Think about the alternatives, your about my age, man, so you know the value of hard earned money.

Tell you honestly? If I had children I would NOT get them into videogames, at least not at such a young age. I think media is raping children of imagination these days, to be honest. I'd rather have my children breaking my stuff with toy lightsabers made out of tree branches than dancing in front of the television!
whoa wait this is 450?.. with that much you could buy 2 360's. I know it comes with the kinect and the crappy stars wars game that your going to play ONCE but man, wow but 450? So a 360 is 200 and a kinect is 150 so thats 350 and the crappy stars wars game thats 60 so its 420 so how is this a deal? i know it has the stars wars design but thats waaaay to much money if you could buy all these separately and its still cheaper. this isn't a bundle deal.

A 320 gigabyte 360 is not 200 dollars.

Considering now its easier to watch and regulate what they play i dont think its a bad thing to let children play it as long as its in moderation like anything else. From 5 till around 12-13 i was only ever allowed to play games on weekends and even at that only a couple hours cept after dark i could go bannana's, i was heavilt regulated and most of the time it was me against my dad at Fifa 99 at the time, or tekken 2 but it was always reinforced that it was only a game its not real.
As long as its in moderation i wouldnt see a problem with a child playing video games, it could be turned on its head aswell by making it a reward for them if they are doing well at school, homework and helping round the house then it can be used as a carrot for them to do things aswell i should know, you get crap grades bye bye Megadrive till you got better and it instills a bit of simple discipline that games dont come first.
To be honest i still rather pick up my bass or electric and write riffs than play games bout 70% of the time. Now thats my strange rant over im going to the pub in 20 min for my mates 21st so im not overthinking this xD.
someone worked it out earlier in the thread, if you remove SW and kinect, and the $40 for the increased GB on the hard-drive, you are getting the SW features for the regular 360 price.[QUOTE="Chris_Williams"]

b-b-b-but thats far too much logic for System wars man :P
Not that it matters, but I believe you also get Kinect Adventures in the bundle as well...or it could be kinect sports.

i know its a increase in gigs but that still isn't worth it imo, still don't this is a bundle deal but hey i'm not into stars wars but even if i was i wouldn't buy a 450 model just because its suppose to represent rd-d2, this is one of those items you get super excited for then you buy it then a couple of days later you look at it and say...wow i can't believe i spent 450 on this i should have waited for a price drop., especially if you already have a 360 and just buying this to buy it. But hey its your cashTell you honestly? If I had children I would NOT get them into videogames, at least not at such a young age. I would get him into video games, but with regulations ( like 1 hour or 1 and a half a day) aswell as letting him play outside more with friends & spending time with him in parks. But with a catch, i would show him the vast amount of splitscreen games i have on my consoles, and play with him & his friends. & my friends. I usually play splitscreen beat 'em ups with my sister's son, which is like 10 years old, like once - twice a week, and he loves it.
Nothing wrong with TMNT: Turtles in Time.
i understand that honestly. I really like it, i really want it, but i am not buying it just because i already have one.sts106mat
Yeah, it looks mighty fine... and like i said, i would definitely get that if i were a SW fan. That controller.. damn. Man, MS knows how to push buttons.
It's a justifiable price anyway for anyone that doesn't have a 360 & kinect. It is cheaper to get that bundle than a standard 360, kinect and the game.
[QUOTE="Heirren"]
Na, he has every right to do so. A lot of the MS hating around here is actually justified. But in this case, it is typical marketing.
Strangely enough, if I was the target audience of this game, I'd probably say it was garbage/too easy. I was a better gamer back in the nes/snes era than I am now. Why are games so frickin easy these days!!!!!

450$ is a lot of money for such a good looking gimmick and a mediocre game on rails. Would rather just get my kid a ps2 and dozen games which is infinitely cheaper and provides a ton more content. Personally, my child is 6 months old, but if he were 10 - 12, i would definitely just get something cheaper than that.

It's a bit steep at first glance but relative to other slim models/bundles the pricing is just about right when you look at what you get:
1. An R2-D2 Theme and Custom R2-D2 Sounding Xbox 360 w/320 GB Hard Drive and built-in WiFi
2. A C-3PO theme wireless controller
3. Custom White Kinect Sensor
4. Xbox 360 Wired Headset
5. Kinect Star Wars Game
6. Kinect Adventures Game
7. It's Star Wars!! :D:P8)

I didn't have a tv growing up for a period of time. When I did eventually get an NES, it was either ONE tv show(gi joe or tom&jerry) or 30 minutes of games. I do dig the social aspect of older games. It was much easier to regulate for parents, I imagine. I don't think videogames are all that great, but it can teach good communicational skills/hand eye coordination, given the right games. That time is over for the most part though. Today is a total bummer, imo, as I just hear soooooooo much bs over xbox live that I'd rather not have a child ever playing games like that.
And..."aaaaaahhhhhhhhh:)" to Turtles in Time. Big Apple.........................................3am.
I'm a huge Star Wats nerd, and that console looks like trash. Terrible color scheme for an Xbox 360...
xYamatox
I disagree completely. It is the color scheme that draws me in.

I hightlighted the important part. This is clearly meant for Star Wars fans and collectors. There's just an indelible 'something' there that you just can't put a pricetag on. And that's going to drive interest. If you find yourself doing the math on each of its parts, then it clearly isn't meant for you.
