And i could not care less about blu ray or dvd, i get my consoles for games

So you're saying you don't play games on your PS3? That's pretty dumb. The whole point of buying a 360 or PS3 is to get the next gen experience through the games you play. DVD and Blu-Ray are just added features that aren't even necessary.

Exactly, and in the Uk, a standalone BD player that can't even play games costs more than a PS3, so it's a bargain, and we all know that in a few months HDDVD will crash and burn, as it can't keep up with BD, so yep, that's about right!

I thought people buy these machines as gaming machines, not DVD/HD DVD/BD-only players. I didn't blow CA$499.99 on a DVD player. I spent it for gaming.
