Games. Halo 3. Orange Box. Beautiful Katamari. Eternal Sonata. Mass Effect. Blue Dragon. Viva Pinata. Gears of War. Scene It.Assassin's Creed. Bioshock. Ace Combat 6. GRAW, GRAW2, RAINBOW SIX VEGAS, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Call of Duty 2, Project Gotham Racing 3 and 4, Skate, Tony Hawk, Xbox 1 games backwards compatible, Too Human, Banjo 3, Kameo, Perfect Dark Zero, Ninja Gaiden II,Fallout 3, Alan Wake, Alone in the Dark, Shadowrun, Madden, FIFA, NBA, Forza 2, Dead Space, Mercanaries 2, Army of Two...need I go on? 360 has the best game lineup ever and this is not even all the best games on the list...(Console permanent and time exclusives in bold.)

Plus, you can chat on Xbox Live, download movies, music, videos, TV shows, watch TV, play online, gain achievements, and download new and classic games from Xbox Live Arcade like today's big release, Undertow,(9.0 from OFFICIAL Xbox Magazine). So many features...What other system gives you all that? And the system isn't too buggy and is much more reliable than any other system. Plus, there's great graphics. You can get a 360 for the price of the Wii plus $30 and have access to so, so, so much more plus several free games straight out of the box. Beat that, Sony and Nintendo. I dare you. Oh, wait, no, you can't.

I'm not a pure 360 fanboy as I think some Nintendo games like Zelda and Metroid are awesome but I'm just stating the facts about who's gonna win this console war (definetly. Wii has the lead but it'll die off by late 2008 due to lack of hardcore games and not much innovations in sequels to the launch titles).

Yeah, Sony fanboys should at least give it a try before bashing it. No matter what type of gamer you are, there'll be something for you on the 360.

You can say that for every console ever created. My deal is; there's more somethings for me on the PS3.

Games wise, of course it's got a larger amount of great and superb games. OF course, in this regard, it's still losing to the PC.

RROD360 reliable? Surely you jest.

Number_1_Gamer

It's the most reliable console when looking for a good game. Also, all other systems do not match the 360's graphics. For example, PS3 Madden ran at 30 FPS and frequently dropped making it a much worse game than its 60 FPS older brother.

You bypassed the hardware reliability and are using a multiplat EA to tout graphics..... :| Really, go play Uncharted and HS they are up there in the console race when considering graphics.

I like games I don't give prop's to console's... they all have pro's and con's, thats why I chose the PC it as the least amount of con's.

When ever I get some framerate issues I turn down a few graphical assests and boyakasha... shame console gamer's get framerate problems god I hate them... Must really hurt you that ME has quite a lot of techniqual problems.

1. The many of the bolded games aren't console exclusive or timed exleisves.
2. All versions of PS3 have more BC games than 360, and better ones too.
3. XBL is nothing special.
4. Playstation 3 has proved that it will have the best graphics, with a first year title blowing 2nd year 360 titles out of the water.
5. The wii did fine without many hardcore games, and the Wii is an innovation in itself.
6. Both Wii and PS3 have more features right out of the box than 360.
7. 360 has the worst failure rate out of all next gen system.

360 is the worst next-gen console...by a small margin.

1. They all either are now or were timed exclusives.

2. But they have more problems. Some games' sound wouldn't even work. Wired, Gamespot, Egadget, and more have said so themselves.

3. PlayStation Online is nothing special.

4. No, 360 has better graphics. Many PS3 games (hello, Assassin's Creed) have been bashed from critics for worse graphics than their older brother's version, the 360.

5. The Wii is an innovation, I'll admit, but even Gamesradar.com has said it's Nintendo's biggest mistake ever as the innovation will stop and publisher commitment will stop by late 2008.

6. 360 has more out of the box features than all other consoles...combined.

7. PS2 has the worst failure rate of all time and that turned out to be amazing. Plus, you just hear the bad stories; The other people say, "Why talk about how good the failure rate is for 360s?" Do you have a 360?

The 360 is the best next-gen console...by a huge margin.

PSN is nothing special, but home will be. :)

Its purely speculation that publisher support will stop on the fastest selling and the biggest next-gen console at the end of 2008, and that really seems to foolish to say.

...lol, you have to pay for live so take that out... you have to buy the hd-dvd so take that out... depending on which version you might not even get an HDD, depending on the version you won't even get an HDMI. Sorry 360 is horrible in features, its almost a joke.

Wii for me. Does that mean that the 360 isn't a great console? Of course not. But in order of how much I like the consoles, for me it goes Wii>360>PS3. And know why? Purely because of games. Each system has games I want, so I'm going to eventually get them all. Which means that I win :D

Not according to system war standards: The 360 has the best games [according to Gamespot and Gamerankings, but we just use Gamespot], the most software sales, and the second most hardware sales [even though sales are irrelevent too, considering it was decided games decide the systems power].

Going by the rules set by Gamespot and System Wars, the 360 is the best console.

Assassin's Creed--7.5, PS3 from IGN------7.7, 360 from IGN

Madden 2008--8.5 PS3 from 1up------9.0 from 360 from IGN

I am sorry, but we only use GS here and both gave those games equal scores on PS3 and 360. You lemmings enforce us PS3 people into only using GS, but when GS says something good about the PS3 or bad about the 360 you automatically turn to other reviewers.

Yes Madden 2008 was better on the XBox 360 than on the PS3, but that's because EA was lazy and felt like doing a better job on the 360 than PS3. Seriously, why wouldn't the PS3 be able to run Madden 2008 at 60 frames per second if given the opportunity.

Oblivion was a console exclusive at some point, but that doesn't matter now, does it? Right now, we are talking about the present, and the PS3 has Oblivion now. Plus, it was for the PC at the same time as 360.

Wii is the best system by far. It actually offers variety; not justa million first person shooters and third person shooters. I don't think the 360 is ever going to have as good as a platformer as Super Mario Galaxy.

I guess if you are interested in playing generic first person shooters or third person shooters, then the 360 is a good choice. But if you like things that aren't just about blowing everything up, then the Wii is a great choice.

Maybe Banjo Threeie could change this. You better hope so.

By the way, graphically, Crysis blows anything out the water.

I'm not a pure 360 fanboy as I think some Nintendo games like Zelda and Metroid are awesome but I'm just stating the facts about who's gonna win this console war (definetly. Wii has the lead but it'll die off by late 2008 due to lack of hardcore games and not much innovations in sequels to the launch titles).

bloodbore8

Here's where the TC failed  Sorry kid. Your opinion doesn't = facts. 2008 is anyone's game right now. The Wii could die. The PS3 could take the lead. 360 stays on top with offering something better with XBL. We don't know. The Wii is something that all developers are looking at right now. Less resources on the hardware, and more money income from the get go. Hell. Don't be surprized to see the PS2 still go strong into 2008 and by the end of the year.

360 is the greastest console ever made by the the hands of man.

Its one of mankinds greatest achievements.

Auto-fail.

Anyways the last paragraph was so stupid i'll let some one else bash you for it.

Can it make you a Oreo Pizza? Yeah, I thought not. Aint so great now is it? lol

I like games I don't give prop's to console's... they all have pro's and con's, thats why I chose the PC it as the least amount of con's.

When ever I get some framerate issues I turn down a few graphical assests and boyakasha... shame console gamer's get framerate problems god I hate them... Must really hurt you that ME has quite a lot of techniqual problems.

sadikovic

ME has hardly any bugs, been playing about 15-16 hours and i've had exactly:

1 minor framerate hiccup during the 2nd battle on eden prime, nothing big

3 Texture popins with cutscenes

that's it so far.

Researchers at the University of Rochester have made an optics breakthrough that allows them to encode an entire image's worth of data into a photon, slow the image down for storage, and then retrieve the image intact.

While the initial test image consists of only a few hundred pixels, a tremendous amount of information can be stored with the new technique.

The image, a "UR" for the University of Rochester, was made using a single pulse of light and the team can fit as many as a hundred of these pulses at once into a tiny, four-inch cell. Squeezing that much information into so small a space and retrieving it intact opens the door to optical buffering-storing information as light.

"It sort of sounds impossible, but instead of storing just ones and zeros, we're storing an entire image," says John Howell, associate professor of physics and leader of the team that created the device, which is revealed in today's online issue of the journal Physical Review Letters. "It's analogous to the difference between snapping a picture with a single pixel and doing it with a camera-this is like a 6-megapixel camera."

"You can have a tremendous amount of information in a pulse of light, but normally if you try to buffer it, you can lose much of that information," says Ryan Camacho, Howell's graduate student and lead author on the article. "We're showing it's possible to pull out an enormous amount of information with an extremely high signal-to-noise ratio even with very low light levels."

Optical buffering is a particularly hot field right now because engineers are trying to speed up computer processing and network speeds using light, but their systems bog down when they have to convert light signals to electronic signals to store information, even for a short while.

Howell's group used a completely new approach that preserves all the properties of the pulse. The buffered pulse is essentially a perfect original; there is almost no distortion, no additional diffraction, and the phase and amplitude of the original signal are all preserved. Howell is even working to demonstrate that quantum entanglement remains unscathed.

To produce the UR image, Howell simply shone a beam of light through a stencil with the U and R etched out. Anyone who has made shadow puppets knows how this works, but Howell turned down the light so much that a single photon was all that passed through the stencil.

Quantum mechanics dictates some strange things at that scale, so that bit of light could be thought of as both a particle and a wave. As a wave, it passed through all parts of the stencil at once, carrying the "shadow" of the UR with it. The pulse of light then entered a four-inch cell of cesium gas at a warm 100 degrees Celsius, where it was slowed and compressed, allowing many pulses to fit inside the small tube at the same time.

"The parallel amount of information John has sent all at once in an image is enormous in comparison to what anyone else has done before," says Alan Willner, professor of electrical engineering at the University of Southern California and president of the IEEE Lasers and Optical Society. "To do that and be able to maintain the integrity of the signal-it's a wonderful achievement."

Howell has so far been able to delay light pulses 100 nanoseconds and compress them to 1 percent of their original length. He is now working toward delaying dozens of pulses for as long as several milliseconds, and as many as 10,000 pulses for up to a nanosecond.

"Now I want to see if we can delay something almost permanently, even at the single photon level," says Howell. "If we can do that, we're looking at storing incredible amounts of information in just a few photons

dont get me wrong i like my ps3 and i would love for more games on it, but right now there's not a whole lot of choice...more than the wii but significantly less than 360. PS3 doesn't have a single exclusive game with a 90 rating or more on metacritic, and multi-platform games more people buy the 360 version because of achievements and a better online interface
