Xbox 360 is the best system this gen

Best online network system - Sure if you like getting ripped off. If not, PSN is the best if we're talking about online gaming here. PC Online is better also.

best versions of pratically every console multiplatform title - No. Maybe a year ago, but not anymore.

best line up of exclusive games - Since you're talking about all systems, what do you have. Halo 3 and Forza 2? PC has a lot of AAAs. The PS3 has the only AAAAe. Gears of War and Mass Effect are not exclusive because the PC is also a system. If it's on another platform, it's not exclusive.

all in all it really is the PS2 of this generation. - No it's not. This gen isn't over.

Anybody who considers themselves a hardcore gamer would be foolish not to own one. - What if the guy doesn't want to get f'ed in the ass by MS because of LIVE costs for gaming on non-dedicated servers? If Brawl isn't awesome, then how did it manage to score a 9.5? Considering it's the second highest score on GameSpot, I'd consider that to be quite awesome.

Wii got Game of the Year 2007 with Super Mario Galaxy. PS3, 360, and PC didn't. Of course, they have their own "awesome" things about them, but the fact that the Wii was able to get a Game of the Year against so much competition is pretty "awesome" to me.

Yeah, to each his own I suppose, the Wii is just not my thing, and I don't plan to continue this pointless argument any further. :wink:

Yet, the most overrated thing of all is SW itself.

The 360 is not even close to the best system because the exclusives usually end up on the PC or PS3 at some point. All the Halo games have been released on the PC and it's very possible Halo 3 will be released on the PC at some point. Where an exclusive on the PS3 stays a true exclusive to the system, there is a good number of these from the PS2 era that are coming to the PS3 and they have never been on any other system.

So far the 360 hasn't been able to keep the lead numbers it had with it's one year lead. The Wii has blown right by the total numbers and the PS3 is gaining in total sales from the time it was released.

The title is "Xbox 360 is the best system THIS GEN" so can the PC REALLY be included since it is constantly evolving DAILY and so it doesn't really have a "gen"? Just another small point to put fuel on the fire.

Personally I agree that the 360 is the best. PS3 is over rated. Wii is for kids and when you can go get a PC that does everything the 360 can do for $299 BRAND NEW, then maybe we'll talk ;)

Guess I am not hardcore because I traded it in for a Ps3 and am way happier with it. This gen is far from over and the 360 is getting owned world wide. Hard to swallow.

Except for the fact that its hardware sucks. Three years later and they FINALLY may have RROD under control? Not to mention the E74 error, DRE's... lol. Quite possibly the worst hardware ever released to the consumer market.

The games lineup and online system are why I haven't given up on the console :)

nope, definitley not. Its exclusive line up falls to its knees compared to the PS3's line up. 360 is great but PS3 is the superior console when it comes to games, maybe not completley in the online department though PSN is very strong however, the library of games for the PS3 completetly overshadow 360's line up. hashimgillani1

Does it really matter? The answer is no, because

1) The definitive version of most of those console multiplats are the 360 version.
2) Most of those 67 multiplats arent even available on the Wii, which apprently is your system of choice.

Well if as that guy said we change title to "best console" I agree. It's only bad points are RROD and paying for online. In games it gives the best selection outta the 3 consoles, and gets to share in quite a few PC/360 only games like Gears, Mass Effect, Bioshock(I know it's headed to PS3, but it's not there yet!), Viva Pinata, Orange Box(non crappy-port version :P) and has quality exclusives like Halo, Forza, Kameo, Banjo, Dead Rising(again non crappy port version :P) Ninja Gaiden 2, Too Human. O I agree it sucks. It should be fixed free for life, or at least until their next Xbox launches. More than that, it should never have freakin' happened in the first place.

However 3 years isn't bad, considering a console gen tends to last 5 or 6 years. And considering Sony never offered anything like that for the disc read errors on PS2, I had to pay 50 to get that fixed. Although 2 wrongs don't make a right.
