I'd say KB/M, mods and improved visuals tip it in favour of PC.

The 360 certainly has the best library on console shooters and even console RTS, but we aren't in console wars here.

If PC's didnt exist, than yes 360 would be the king of shooters and RTS's...but the pc beats it out in both categories. It is the best for consoles though.

For rpg's, it does have a very promising rpg lineup, imo better than anything else,but right now only 1 rpg is out, and there are still many games that can announced on other platformers, so we will have to wait and see.

It is being made by the same team as the original 2 games.... The series itself is the only platforming series to get over a 9.0 at gamerankings, ign and gamespot

Banjo does indeed have two great games (Not much of a series yet) unless you want to count the GBA games....ewww However, times have changed quite a lot since the N64 days. Thinking that Banjo-threeie will automatically take the platform title is a little rash in my opinion.Ibacai

They came a long way.... they started out as a platforming company that made Battletoads and then the attacked the N64 by storm with Conker and Banjo. They have one of the best platforming game track records. I have high hopes for the third installment, I think these reasons are enough to justify how good Banjo can turn out to be.

Wii owns the platformers Mario Galaxy, SUperpapermario, kirby, Nights, Dewys Adventure, and hopefully a DK platformer.

Console Shooters would be 360.
Console RTS is also 360 but thats not saying anything really.
RPGS, 360 is good for this year with Mass Effect, eternal sonata, Blue Dragon, and Lost Odyssey but i still think that genre is undecided until we see what kind of game Atlus makes for the PS3.
All 3 consoles have a good variety of action adventure.

With PC dominating in shooters, rts, and MMO. other than that the action adventure, survivol horror, sandbox, hack and slash, rpgs,fighting, etc are all generally better on consoles. jg4xchamp

Ratchet and Clank and Jak have TONS of sequels, many of them 9 and higher, all high quality games. Banjo has 2 games back in the hayday of platformers. back then nintendo could crap and get a 9 or above. look up platformers for N64 on IGN, they all got 9+.

It's because platformers of now really havent revolutionized the genre at all... well besides mario galaxy. True platformers were more popular in the past but because they were so flodded with them it would make sense that it would be harder to get a better score? Hell BK and BT both beat out Mario 64 here at gamespot... and most people saw mario 64 as the revolutionary game. They had the resources and time to pump out sequals because that have big teams, banjo's team wasn't huge by any means and they had to go through nintendo and microsoft complications so games were not out sooner. The reason they all got such good ratings because they were great and had something to revolutionize the genre or be a great game by itself. The platformers of now dont do it as much and with every sequal they make... they seem to put out platformers for cheap cash or they change the formula too dramatically (see Jak 1 to Jak 2) I had a PS2 I loed all the platformers but I really think Banjo has a great chance of revolutionizing the genre again. Banjo Tooie beat out the original score wise as well.

im guessing you didnt check IGN and see all the platformers, some of which not that innovative or good, getting 9+. Mario 64 got a 9.8, i consider that one of the worst marios ever.

PC owns rts and shooters, sony will own platformers. the only genre where 360 can lead is RPGs and even that is arguable(PC rivals it in RPGs)AdrianWerner

The Wii has Mario, Sonic, NiGHTS, and Nintendo's franchises it will own platforers.

Also WRPG's are always king on PC's, and JRPG's are always king with the most popular system in Japan *now being the DS*

If anything the 360 is king of Western Console Developers.........if you haven't notice pretty much all Western Console Developers suck at making games.

Alas we all know that Battletoads was a very hard game, many sites gave it lower marks because of the difficulty. Plus didn't rare come out with donkey kong country? That did pretty well with reviews...

Kameo and the remake of Conkers were not made by the Banjo teams... We havent seen the Banjo team work on anything besides Banjo and Viva Pinata.

We should look at what information they give us at E3 and decide but with my pure speculation as of now I have high hopes for the 3rd installment.
