The brand may not be cool (and the Playstation brand may be), but the system is indeed cool. There's a reason Xbox Live is thriving; everyone wants to be able to play with their buddies online. On the other hand, ever since its launch, the PS3 has become less and less cool; look at the media, and look at the general feeling towards it.

What about those of us in College who CAN'T talk to people in class?
What kind of communist college you go to? Where I'm from, it's the other way around. Can't talk in school, free to do whatever you want in college. The transition from school to college was like breaking off invisible chains.

A friend of mine only talks to girls...funny story....he talked to girls so much that he ended up with herpes (true story). So a little bit of video games, and a little bit of girls, seems like a great balance to me.

Lol I didn't mean actual rules saying you can't, I meant that its just rude and you miss alot of important information that will totally eff you when it comes time for mid-terms and finals. Plus, everybody isn't as compact as in highschool, I really only see my friends (outside of the football team) on weekends.

No surprise there really. MS isn't doing nearly enough to market the system in Europe. Their focus seems to be all on the US, though it still seems to sell well enough in Europe.
Uh, if a kid says they own a PS3 in my Highschool, they will be seen as a gaming nerd. Everybody I know who plays games has a 360, even if they also have a PS3 (which is like 2 people). I have 18 kids from my highschool on my friends list.

I go to USF and have tons of time to talk to people around campus, you don't have to go to classes all the time. When I was in High School I had pretty much no time to talk to my friends.

How many people do you work with 5. Where I work people talk about all three consoles when they are at break. I've got friends who own PS3's, friends who have 360's, and friends who have wii's (save the comments :D ). The whole premise of this thread is pointless IMO. None of the three are "un-cool" from what I've seen.
it is a kinda funny poll though. The average person (read: not xbox core gaming fanbase) thinks that the xbox is uncool. I can believe that. After all, video games are still kinda treated as loser addons.
LOL...did anyone read this full article? It was a "survey" of 2,000 young people in Britain. Big freakin' deal. Why would I care about what Brits (no offense) think is cool? This makes it sound like this is a wide ranging thing, completely misleading title. It should say "Xbox360: Officially uncool in Britain".
