i would say the Xbox 360 because of the better and bigger games library, but it all comes to what you like more, see the games avaible for each system, and then, based on what you saw, buy the console that you think its more worthy

so far ps3 is losing exclusive to 360, 360 has ten times as many games plus bigger titles coming out this year like halo 3, mass effect and many more :D

Don't let yourself get sucked in by fancy features lists. Actually ask yourself how many of the extra features you'll use: Blu-ray: Do you own an HDTV? If so, do you plan to watch HD films on it? If not then you won't benefit much from blu-ray unless you find changing disc that much of a chore. PS2 backwards compatibility: Do you have any PS2 games? If so do you plan on chucking the old PS2, or would you be happy to keep it? Install computer OS: If all you want to do is play games and watch films or listen to music, I don't really see how this will "sell" the system to you. This seems to be more a feature for the tinkerers who like to say "YAY I installed Linux on my PS3!" rather than a "must have" feature for gamers. Sure, having a custom interface is nice, but don't make your decision based solely on that. No defective consoles: It was mostly the first generation of 360's that had issues, mine was bought in June 2006 and it's never had a single crash or problem of any kind. "Better exclusives": Be aware that a lot of the PS3 exclusives are going multiplat. Check up which ones are DEFINITELY staying exclusive, then decide if they're worth sacrificing the 360's exclusives for. As for the other bits and bobs you get in the PS3's package (card readers etc), will you use them? Don't just buy a system because you get a load of extras you never use. So my advice is to look at the extras the PS3 offers and decide if you will make good use of them. Sony is probably banking on a lot of people buying the system just because the feature list is longer than the 360's, but ask yourself if it's worth paying the extra for them. If so then go for it, if not you might be better off with the 360 which has an already well-established library of quality titles.

360 - Mass Effect soon, Two Worlds, Bioshock, Lost Odyssey, Halo 3

Now to make it easier for you, ask all those PS3 fanboys that say get a PS3, which games does PS3 get that are in the same caliber as those on 360 before late 2008 ???

Tell me TC you probably don't have a HD TV now but don't you intend on owning one?????

I mean I doubt you've bought you're TV why can't the next one be an HD TV????

PS2 Back.Compat> means you can also enjoy upcoming PS2 titles and maybe some you're missed out on last gen if you didn't have one.

Alot of PS exclusive Multi-Plat. What about Ninja Gaiden, Saints Row, Enchanted Arms?????? Lets stop blowing this Multi plat issue out of context

Better exclusives? that aren't out. More powerful? In theory only. Shiny Glossy? grasping for straws. IF you want to play decent shooters buy the x360.... on and blingbling, petitions aren't very mature...

Yea....go and buy a 360 it's better right?? I mean has better games. Not only Gears of war....but wait??? Is there anything else that's worth it?? ohh nooooo. halo 3?? come on...Halo 1 was a joke. I don't like fighting smurfs in space....do you? Mass Effect....I got to admit. that's a nice game but than we are at only 2 games for the 360. But let's buy the 360...than if you really really really wish hard for it than MGS4 will be ported to it and it will be on 12dics...you don't find changeing disc between levels a big chore right?? :D

Go buy the 360 because it's online service is great......also it's $50/year. That PSN sucks it's free and guse what..also great! Wait what???

Go buy the 360 so you don't have to play sucker games like: Lair, Heavenly Sword, MGS4, Gran Turismo 5, Tekken 6, the next Final Fantasy, MotorStorm.

But don't buy that PS3 why would you? It's quiet! Who want's quiet right? It wont overheat......you like your room hot right??:D You don't have to get it replaced after 3months. What great fun it is when your without the system for weeks because your waiting to get it back right??

All in all.....why buy a PS3?? or why buy a 360??

You know the best....you know what you like!

Ninja gaiden is a goddamned port of a 3 year old game, graspin for straws much. Saints row is a great game, enchanted arms is ergghhh. on the other hand you've lost GTA.... VF5.... DMC4... 3 of your most talked about games.... its not even been half a year...

I think you misinterpreted my intention. It wasn't to put him off the PS3 by trying to convince him the extra features won't help, it was just to help him make an unbiased decision based on what he wants from the console without being blinded by the "wow lots of extra stuff!" mentality. I said at the end that if he plans to use these extra features then sure, the PS3 would be worth getting. If not, then he should focus on the games to make his decision.
