As most people are already saying $50 isn't really going to convince that many people. You're likely to see the same thing we saw w/ the ps3 $100 price cut. A ton of sales one week, and then the next week it's just sitting there again.

I guess we can hope this is just walmart trying not to loose so much cash when the actual price cut comes.

i bought a 360 without live i only plan on playing rpgs for the rest of the year and bioshock which doesnt have online but is a 20 hour game and asassins creed is a 40 hour game and i want that naruto game because i really like naruto and this one is being made by ubisoft montreal good developers, so yeah, i dont need live .

I agree that you loose alot when you don't have xbox live but every game has a single player mode and the only games i activly play online is gears and rainbow six. And yes you can get xbox live gold with a memory card.

Just sitting there? Where did you get this information from? I've seen nothing to indicate the PS3 sales surge has went down any - beyond amazon at least.

id get owned although i was pretty good in the halo 3 beta i got 16 kills on like my third playthrough:D

What is wrong with you people? A $50 price drop is the industry standard around this time. Only Sony needed sumthin to tout the boost of sales for the PS3 which is why you see a $100 drop of the PS3. Most of the people who are acting like MS needs to drop the 360 by $100 may not be fanboys, but you are sure acting like it by thinking Sony has set a standard for price drops in the gaming industry.The 360 and Wii are doing fine in this console war, Sony is the only company that is still trying to find its position this gen which lead to a radical change in tactics...The 360 price drop was needed and will be appreciated by gamers!
