It's only 199 and it has 4gb storage. I personally have a large HDD on my 360 but I don't really download dlc or store music or videos or do installs. I just play games.

I was actually planning on getting one. the 4GB but then decided not to seeing how many games PS3 is getting from exclusives to multiplats not to mention some of the games got huge limited editions. i'd rather save up for the games. maybe when its $49 :P

Dell has it for 170. Let me check.
imo, the 360 is at its best when it's the only system you have, due to its vast selection of multiplats. but if you start getting more systems, the 360 starts losing a lot of its value
[QUOTE="siLVURcross"]4GB is small.bphan
I said if you only care about games. 4gb is plenty for game saves.
downloadable games take up space, you know..4GB is not enough

4GB is small.siLVURcross4 GB is just fine. I never used more than 4 GB until they started letting you install your games. It's enough for game saves, some DLC, and a couple XBLA games.
4GB is small.siLVURcrossI'm doing just fine on my Arcade 256 (can't remeber precise) mb one :)
Depends on what your gonna use it as, and as an entry into HD gaming its a perfect choice. A really good move on MS's part.
Edit - Oh and I did play online back when they gave me 3 months free. :) (They just replace the file for the dashboard and stuff, so it takes no space ) Sad they raiased the price on LIVE.
add $60. also 4gb way too little. It's only 199 and it has 4gb storage. I personally have a large HDD on my 360 but I don't really download dlc or store music or videos or do installs. I just play games.

The DS Lite is $140 and has a huge library of all different genres. XBOX mainly has FPSs and Racing games. Get a DS for a large choice of games.
I can't beleive I'm going to buy a console for only 1 game, and 1 game only. That game is Gears of War 3.
I had a 360 before (as you can see in my sig), but likemost 360's mine broke 4 times and Microsoft stopped fixing it for free. I now have had a PS3 Slim for 1 year and it still sounds exactly like the day I bought it
4 gb storage isn't enough for any game this generation, even if its just for games.... and if you are gamer don't you get DLC, Demo, and XBLA games? The TC logic doesn't make senseDiviniuzI've played about 10 games and can probably play 10 more and I don't even have 4 gigs. (I have the 2nd version arcade models) It makes sense to me.

I don't use a lot of space, but its certainly more than 4 gb. How many XBLA games do you have? DLC takes up a decent amount too. I do have a couple games installed, but If I deleted them I would still be well over the mark.

I use mine for exclusives and some multiplats. Sometimes I don't have access to my PS3, so I use my 360. Especailly when I go on trips or want to play some COD or Halo. You don't need to dl demos or xbla games. The TC said games, not demos, xbla games, or dlc. 4 gbs is perfect and I wish I had waited that year before buying my arcade model

Just delete the DLC you're not playing at the moment or something if it's a problem.
Don't forget you can use USB flash drives now too. I formatted half my cheap 16 GB flash drive for 360 use, and kept the rest for regular use.

cool I didn't know that. I got a 4 gig. IS it with any USB flashdrive?[QUOTE="Guppy507"]It would be plenty for me if I didn't install my games. cool I didn't know that. I got a 4 gig. IS it with any USB flashdrive? Yes. It scans the flashdrive to see if it meets the "performance requirements" to work properly (their attempt to get you to buy their name brand flashdrives I'm sure). Don't worry about that. Mine is a cheap POS, and it works just fine even though it doesn't meet the performance requirements.[QUOTE="bonzibuddyxxx"]Xbox 360 slim is the perfect console if you only care about the fps games. this is what you meant right?Guppy507If you care about FPS games, you play on the PC. ;)
Hm. I've played FPSs on console and PC. I think I like PC just a bit better.

You can have quality games on the Ds as well :|
I didn't say there wasn't any quality titles anywhere else.... I just said if you want to experience quality titles on a budget, 360 is a great console. I didn't say 360 was the only great way to experience quality titles...$199 is not worth it for only 4GB. If there is a repeat of last Christmas's deals on the Arcade then it's probably worth it, but only as a 2nd system if you already have a PS3/Wii/XBOX. $199 has basically been the price of the arcade forever, and the fact that it's a "slim" does;t make the deal any better.
Last holidays it was pretty common to see them $149 or at least $199 with a $50 gift card thrown in. Heck wal-mart even had a deal where it was $199 with a $100 gift card, and unlike most black friday deals this one lasted a few days before selling out. If there's anything like that on the 4GB I'll probably finally go ahead and pick one up.
Not really both my 360 and my ps3 have their hdd filled with a lot more than 4gb AND I play my ps3 more too.

You can get a DS Lite and buy quality titles for half that price.
