Let me tell you a lot of 9s were flying around on launch day, and it was an impressive first year. Game after game after game. And they all looked great. It was like putting down a primer coat before you paint. The DC got us ready for the other 3 consoles.
But I have to say at this point in time, the Playstation 2 is probably the best ever.

C'mon, I assume you're old enough to remember the Dreamcast launch. In that first year it just seemed so incredible compared to everything else out there at the time. I didn't even realize the lack of support from EA and other companies at that time.
I don't really think of the Dreamcast as the first victim to fall in the PS2/Xbox/GC generation. I think of it as that badass box that put the Nintendo 64 and original Playstation to shame. Of course, by the start of 2001 that had all worn off.
Yea but the 3rd party support was phenominal. It just seems it went way before its time. Thank god I kept mine..... :)
