Xbox 360 tops PS3 in graphics for DMC4 !

Devil May Cry 4 hits both PS3 and Xbox 360 early next January.

But while we wait for the title, the big question is the following: Will there be a graphical difference between the two games? After all the Maddendrama, everybody's looking at titles released on both platforms with a fine tooth comb.

The website Gamespy recently got their mitts on with both versions, and guess which console has the slight advantage in their opinion?

But really, what you probably want to know is what's different between the two versions, and based on our fifteen minutes with each one (PS3 first to jog our memory, then Xbox 360 to see the difference), we think that the two versions are fairly similar visually. The PlayStation 3 version looks marginally less refined to us, but anyone looking to start a console-superiority argument wouldn't have much ammo here. Both games look amazing.

So, nothing like the Madden difference. But there is a slight advantage to the 360, nonetheless.

PS3 topped Xbox 360 for controls. Thats more important to me than a minor visual difference, if there will even be one in the final gamesSnowboarder99

Indeed. People forget that if it don't controll well, it doesn't matter how pretty the sky is. PS3 version looking like thebetter option so far.

This topic is ironic, since the quote specifically states that there isn't much ammo for a console superiority argument here. Other parts of that article also talk about the superiority of the PS3 controller configuration, though that is likely due to the editors being used to the dualshock.

I mean come on, it specifically says 'anyone looking to start a console-superiority argument wouldn't have much ammo here.' this is priceless.

That isn't the reason Gs changed their score system, it was because the previous categories of graphics, sound, gameplay, etc didn't apply for games like guitar hero and the like. thinking that the PS3 somehow sucks so much that the scores got changed is stupid and makes no sense.

We all get it, the PS3 currently has no must-have exclusives and won't have any must-have exclusives until UT3 drops. On the other hand, it's getting digital tv, and that's pretty cool.

As for arguing about miniscule differences between game versions that have no impact whatoever on gameplay or enjoyment of the game... just don't.
