X-Box 360: Trash?

I've had my 360 since for almost two years now, and its still working great. And if it breaks you send it to Microsoft for free, so whats the big deal? Although this shouldnt even be a problem if they made them right.

You have issues, you go from I HATE IT, to YAY ITS WORKING AGAIN I CANT WAIT TO PLAY AWESOME GAMES, to I WISH I NEVER BOUGHT IT within 30 minutes....and im glad you can return it, one thing I don't understand though...you have had it for 5 days, and looks like you've played about 10 games with a score of 210...i mean what are you doing? tossing in a game playing it for 2 minutes hitting eject, tossing in a new game, 2 minutes eject new game .,,,? can't be good for the load on the machine.

that's my point. Microsoft ****ed up. It's one thing if it has problems for a few months...b ut two years? That's not even close to acceptable.

theres a sticker on the back with the date and i think it says falcon on it somewhere to if you have it.

I'm not saying it doesn't have issues. I had one last year where the drive got out of allignment and i had to send it in to MS for a repair, sold that unit and bought a ps3 for a while, got sick of the crappy ports and no good exclusives (which could be turning around). Sold it, got a new 360 recently with the new benq drive and new heatsink etc..which yours should have if it's new. Never gotten the rrod, make sure it's got room to breathe and personaly i set mine up verticly as theres vents on the side where you would lay it flat, seems to keep it cooler. When god of war 3 and final fantasy come out ill get a ps3 but that's still at least a year away.

Maybe you should check the manufacture date before you bought it, unless you got it on ebay or craigslist (likely). Personaly I think you are full of crap judging by your sig. My 2nd gen 360 has never had a single problem and is fairly quiet and runs cool..i think you got a lemon.

Not only that, but since it RRoD in 5 days, he can bring it back to the store and get a brand new x360.

I think you all are missing the point. The point is that the hardware is trash. Yes he could return it since it has been only 5 days but the problem is "Why should I have to return something that broke in 5 days!" Great games yes, Live great? Yes. Awesome online experience? yes Quality hardware? NO that is his point.

I made the mistake of buying a 360. I was worried everyday then I turned it on it would get the RROD. I sold it after 3 weeks and got most of my money back. It was too nerve racking for me.jdc6305

I can understand that. I want a 360 but I'd worry about it breaking too. If I land my dream job (looking), then I'll make enough money so I won't really stress over a 360 breaking, but until then, I'm pinching pennies.

nintendo are basicly selling last gen hardware for ridiculous prices and dont forget always treating european gamers badly with their games (lazy ports, games delayed).

Maybe you should have done 5 minutes of research and bought one of the new Falcon chipset 360s that don't RROD.

People who throw nearly half a thousand dollars down on hardware without doing any research make me sick.

my 360 never RROD'ed, its full of dust now (well not as much dusty as the one in the dusty ps3 story :lol: ) and its about a foot away from gas heater, played everyday, its worth it :D + the countless hours of funit has given me, ill be happy if it gets RROD'ed so i can get a clean 360mingo123

There is no way a ps3 could get that dirty on it's own. They sent me a new 360 after I got RRoD only it has problems also. So what's the point in going through 360 after 360.Some say a good game election but i'm not seeing this great game selection on the 360.DOA 4, Eternal Sonata, and Gears of War are like the best ones. The rest are pretty much shooters and they are doing nothing but repeating themselves right now. So when you play one shooter, you've played them all. And a lot of the 360 games are not even worth playing. Once the warranty goes out on the 360 good luck spending money to have it fixed. Cause when that happens and my 360 happens to get rrod again, i'm not buying another or paying to have it fixed. The 360 is the only console i've had problems out of like this out of all the consoles i've had or have.

the RROD is a problem, no doubt, but it's not a problem so big that goes "NOPE YOU CAN'T BUY 360's ANYMOER"

and as for RROD, im up to my second 360 and honestly im loving every second of it, and if it dies on me again i'll go to best buy and just get a new one
