Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero III outsells all other versions --- COMBINED

Guitar Hero on Wii is nowhere to be found, I dont know why. I went to toys r us to reserve Mario Galaxy and they had GH3 for the 360 but no wii. wtf?p3anut

That's weird. Kinda sucks, I never bought a GH game before and I might pick up the Wii version.

I highly recommend that you go out and purchase it, especially with Brawl's delay.

Guitar Hero II is w/o a doubt one of my favorite games this generation. The euphoria you feel when you pull off seemingly impossible solos and your fingers just going at an incredible speed, it's just....amazing! And from what I hear, it has the best tracklist yet.

Simply put: BUY IT.

like I said, Its a budget title, doesnt have to be a huge seller, butI'm wondering how they were expecting it to sell? trauma center only sold like 150k and that was enough to warrent a sequal for it from altus. no I cant find the link.

Well Atlus has a very devoted fanbase who consitently buy their games. I'm expecting Capcom was hoping for around 200k-250k based on pure specualtion and no logic.

Are you takling about for the first week? there isnt a game out there that has had practically 0 advertizing dollars and minimal hype outside of the gaming community that could sell that well. hell they were only expecting to sell 420k copies of RE4 wii over the entire life of the game, and RE4 is extremely well known.

wtf? there are many reasons that guitar hero sold less on the wii.

1. the 2 million difference in userbase in favour of the 360 (360 still leads in NA but not worldwide)

2. the fact that there was a previous GH on the 360 (many people would already have guitars, meaning they would cost alot less for most of the people who bought GH3 on the 360)

3. activision apparently undershipped the wii version. its sales are limited by the shipment.

also worth noting is that GH3 on the wii is selling faster than GH2 did on the 360 back when the 360's userbase was much closer to the wii's current one.

GH3 sales on the 360 are very impressive, but you've gone out of your way to twist it into a wii bashing thread without putting any thought into it.

It really helped that GT II came out earlier in the year on the 360 and a lot of people aleady had the guitars for it.

And if you posted Nintendo sales (and I guarantee there will be a ton of SMG sale threads in the next 3 weeks), it would be a thinly veiled bash against the other systems too. What is that expression again, stop acting "holier than thou?"

and I personally think I had some valid concerns for the Wii's future relationship with third parties. You know others have stated it in much more hostile ways than I have. I don't think I "trolled" but I also won't be fuzzy and warm like I'm Katie Couric or something.
