Xbox 360 has had 5 AAA games so far: Gears of War, Oblivion, GRAW, R6 Vegas, and PDZ.

Given that it had a 1 year headstart, let's assess.

GeOW - legit AAA exclusive

Oblivion - now on PS3

GRAW franchise - now on PS3

R6 Vegas - also on PS3

PDZ - questionable score

Taken in context, the 360 headstart hasn't given it that big of a portfolio boost. With the games I listed, PS3 will give the 360 plenty of competition.

He is absolutely right. It's very possible that Sony will never catch up to MS exclusives. We know holiday 2007 belongs to the 360 in terms of exclusives.

I see May released games on Xbox 360 list but no May released games for PS3. MLB 07: The Show is one of them.

i've had my 360 since launch... and i remember having very few games to play when the 360 first came out... I know that its hard to remember because all of the great games 360 has now, but i say that to say this, give sony a chance... in the near future you will see:

Its not. By having a one year headstart, the Xbox 360 doesn't have any competition for next-gen.

Here is the list of "EXCLUSIVE" titles for both the PS3 and XBOX 360. As you can tell the PS3 is being demolished by the 360's exclusive lineup. Ya the 360 did have a head start but still the 360 was pushing out more exclusives around launch than what the PS3 has. Also this list only has exclusive games on it so games like Full Auto 2 (PSP), Saints Row (PS3), Virtua Fighter 5 (360) and all of the PC multiplatform games are not on it.

To be fair the psp version is not good grounds to disqualify it. Viva pinata will have a ds game. Really gears of war crackdown, viva pinata, forza 2 motorstorm and resistance are the only ones to pique my interest. Well maybe sice some of the lauch titles for 360 are discounted in price?)But I'm kind of a graphix whore so i'm more fixated with motorstorm.

Some people have gotten too cosy on system wars, and are making silly threads like this one. 

the 360 does have a lead, but it is by no means gargantuan.  It could most definitely win the console war, but that won't solely be because of exclusives on the 360. Its success primarily depends on Sony continuing to goof the hell up. Things like Home, and no charge for the basic online, are steps in the right direction; the plethora of pretty  first party exclusives is another smart move.

If sony get a rush of exclusives out at the same time, and couple this with a price cut. Well use your imagination.

In addition there's FF13 and MGS4. To people who'll  say "if you have any sense you'll know these two games will go multiplat," or whatever; just think about this: why haven't they publicly announced them as multiplats. MGS4 trailer after mgs4 trailer has been released at differen tradeshows, no confirmation nothing. 20 years of final fantasy celebrated at the square-enix party, they announced a new game called FF last remanant which is a multiplat; why not tell us if XIII and Versus XIII are going multiplat, or timed exclusive. If you've seen the famitsu polls squeenix games are continuously at the top.

well... I wouldnt wanna work in a computer game shop in tokyo when these games come out.

GRAW - The first GRAW is exclusive and it has not been released on another platform.

R6 Vegas - Agree

PDZ - It is questionable because of your ( and many others ) personal opinion. You can't knock a game with personal opinion. It has to be facts, which is why we stick to Gamespots scores. (btw I agree it should have been lower :) )

It may have not been a big lead, but alas scores wise it has been. None of the games listed truely sold the console by itself, ( no not even Gears ), it was a collection of steadily good titles that brought in the consumers... plus no Wii yet haha.

At the moment Xbox 360 has better exclusive games but soon PlayStation 3 will start releasing some exceptional exclusive games such as Metal Gear Soldi 4: Guns of the Patriots and Heavenly Sword but also the Xbox 360 will release some more exceptional exclusive games such as Halo 3 and Mass Effect.

P.S. The statement that I have wrote above is exactly the reason why I own a Xbox 360 and a PlayStation 3.
