Which should I get? I like that the xbox has a lower price but i dolnt like that there is the xbox live membership. I like that the ps3 seems like its better quality and that it has no membership for online but I dolnt like the price of it. Please give me some suggestions that could convince me to choose one.
I used to have a X360 and it definately has some quality games ( Dead Rising is awesome). However I became bored of it after a year and believe me when I say the costs dont stop after the initial purchase. After my 360 broke from overheating ( Which MS refused to replace) I bought a PS3 which is now at the 360s original price which isnt too bad. Im now finding the games much funner than I had on 360 and im glad my 360 broke, else I wouldn't have switched over. So personally Id recommend the PS3 as its cheaper in the long run and if youre like me, the games are more fun but theres nothing wrong wity 360 either so its whatever suits you
In the long run, you will end up spending more on the 360. Don't be fooled by the lower price tag. I have both and I prefer the PS3. You get more for your money.
It depends. If you have an HDTV, go with the PS3 for blu-ray. If blu-ray isn't your thing, go with the 360. You can't go wrong either way. Check a comparison chart to determine what features you want, and then buy accordingly. Also, never understimate the role of games in your deciaion. Most games are multiplat, but each system has a unique set of exclusives, and they're really good. In the end, only your taste in games and hardware can tell you what to do. Also the $199 360 isn't the top of the line. You're getting a bare bones unit. If that's all you want, go for it. Personally, I like the games on the 360 better (and I have way more of them), but I think that the PS3 is the overally better system.

IDK, I mainly play games that get a good raiting on the charts. I would say I either play shooting games or games with a good story (somtimes both combined).
tbh your an idiot if you buy the 360. why do you think ps3 is outsselling it this year? its because smart people are waking up and realizing that its the better system and will continue to be so. be a little different from your friends and rock the ps3.
I own all 3 consoles and in my opinion, the 360 is the better choice. The 360 has the games, and games is what counts. The only game on the PS3 I would reccomend to you is MGS4. (Awesome game BTW)
If your getting a system and you want to connect online with your friends get the 360 regardless of whats better because its always better to game with your friends you know in real life then it is just with that 6 year old kid from Washinton that wont shut up. I think we all should be able to agree on that.

In terms of current quality games with good storylines, I would reccomend PS3 (MGS4, Uncharted, Siren: Blood Curse). However, it should be noted the 360 is no slouch in that category either (Mass Effect and Halo 3).
For current quality shooters, I'd reccomend 360 (Crackdown, Halo 3, Gears). However, PS3 has a few more possibly great shooters lined up in the near future than the 360 (Socom 3, Resistance 2, and Killzone 2).

Dont be tempted by the cheap price.You may suffer from rrod.Get a PS3 its a far more saffer hardware and it has alot of good games coming up.There are 9 un announced titles for it which will be announced for it at TGS.Apart from that we know that it has the best lineup this fall and starting quarter of 2009.Then when we come to multimedia side it is unbeatable with upgradable HDD,web browser,youtube,computer like features and blu ray disc.
The games are the same. With multiplats its literal. With exclusives you have Halo vs Resistance... you're not gonna miss out on FPS no matter what you buy. Same with Forza and GT. Different toilet same isht.
PS3 = 360 + Blu Ray
You can buy a 360 and a used HDD (20gb-120gb) for a total price of $240-$305.
The question is do you want to buy a bluray player for $95-$160. If no, go 360. If yes, go PS3.
when it comes to a smart shoppers money. Its all about investment and hardware. 360 = glass cup and ps3 = hard plastic cup. Which 1 will break first? Also invest in Graphics card, makes the 360 pointless except for a few average to AA jrpgs.
360 has the games. Who cares about watching blu-ray movies on a gaming console? Though the RROD is rather stupid I must say, IF you take care of your 360, most likely it wouldnt happen. Also, you have to pay for online. Is it worth it? I say yes, somewhat.
The PS3 may be expensive, but apart from the console and games, that's the only thing you have to pay for. Online is free and reliability isn't an issue. In the long run, the PS3 is a better choice.

Do they have to play it 24/7 to prove they love it? For all you know maybe they just finished playing and went here OR they log on here first THEN play with their console. Some people can be so funny. :lol:
it will be hard to get non-biased suggestions. but ill try and help. i started with 360 then got a wii then ps3. now i only have the ps3. the reasons were that i would only play games on it because i like the controller more, and there were more must have exclusives on ps3 for me. it really comes down to your preferance on controllers/games
I have both and I like the PS3 better. Online is good, I like the controller, and I have a big library of PS1 and PS2 games and the upscaler makes me a happier person. I also really like the 360, however I refuse to pay for Live, so online is out of the question for me and I have some minor problems with the controller (for some 3rd person games and fighters). So it's all preference. If you do get a PS3 I would suggest any model except for the 40GB and the new 80GB.
I use my PS3 to game but I also use it as a multimedia hub, I use it to stream media from my home server, awesome feature BTW, watch and upscale DVD's, watch Blu-Rays. It has free online, It may not match up to live, but it is a good service for a free one. The games look great in 720p/1080p and the exclusives are fun and have a good selection (which will expand in the coming months). For me it wins, not saying the 360 is bad I just prefer the ps3 and its features
