Xbox 360 vs. PS3 controller.

PS3. Dualshock 3 is confirmed and will include Rumble with SIXAXIS. That's one feature over the 360.

Feels. A lot like 360 feel but I'm used to the PS3 feel since I've been using the controller since Dualshock 1.

Where the PS3 wins is that it works with every game compared to the 360 which sucks on some games and it has no misses (DS 3 not SIXAXIS. SIXAXIS misses Rumble).

360. It just fits perfectly in my hand. ^^

Except when playing Guitar Hero, but that's what the peripheral is for.

You honestly weren't listening. SIXAXIS is taken good advantage in some games. Lair also does good SIXAXIS. If you see YouTube videos, it's not hard. The fact is, reviewers are waving the controller around thinking it's a Wiimote so that's why they hate the controls. I've seen GameSpot play Lair. Warhawk does take good advantage of the SIXAXIS same with MotorStorm. All you have to do is learn how to use it.

The D-pad on the 360 controller still needs some work but aside from that, it's comfortable and I've got no complaints. As for the PS3, I'll make a comment when I get my hands on one.

Edit: Screw it, I'm making a small comment now. If the PS3 controller is similar to the PS2 controller, where the analog sticks are too close together and aren't dented in, the D-pad feels worse than the Xbox, and the triggers and buttons are just a bit too flat, the PS3 controller definitely wouldn't feel so great in my hands.

PS3 has that fancy six axis thing going for it... But other than that, the 360 feels and controls better - period. Only people who will argue are either A) utter and complete Sony fanboys, B) fighting game junkies (who should be using custom sticks anyways).AfterShafter

Fact is, my hand is just used to Sony controllers. I tried the 360 controller and although it did feel good, I just didn't like it as much. Just my opinion. I grew up with the Dualshock (well not really, I did use the rectangular NES controller :P, but other than that, yeah :P)

The PS controller has always had the best feel to me from PS1 up to PS3. I did try the XBOX one time at a store demo for about 20 min. and afterwards my hands would cramp so after that I will never try there controller again. With the PS controllers I can play for hours with no problems at all. jimm895

There's worlds of difference between the Xbox controller and the Xbox 360 controller...

The ps3 controller is probably the biggest reason I won't be getting a PS3 (though i flip flop).

It just screams cheap to me. I hate the controller. I hated the ps2 controller also for anything that has anything to do with aiming.

Honestly, I am loving the 360 controller so far. When I was an avid Socom player on my PS2, I would get cramps during 12+ hour sessions during those boring summer days. I don't get that issue with the 360 controller. I never (really never) had a cramp when playing an game and I don't get it. I mean imo both controllers are the same layout and the 360 controller is a bit fatter than the PS2/PS3 controller. Ergonomic ftw I supposeDeltoidRecon

Maybe you got cramps because you didn't put the dang thing down for 12 hours -.- That's sickening. Btw depends on the type of game, no one controller is perfect.

Same here, I played resistance co-op at my friends house a month back, and I could not stand that ****ing controller.

You were trolling a Forza thread and someone said they reported you and then i never saw you post again, which was like a month ago. And Dual Shock 3 doesn't even have rumble... yet.

Xbox360 controller : A completely re-vamped controller compared to it's predecessor. Seems to do well with shooting games.

Playstation 3 Controller : Same rehashed controller from 2 generations with motion-sensing tacked on.

I believe it actually depends on the game. For some reason, every time i though of DMC4, I saw myself playing it on a 360 controller. Same with Halo and Vegas, and Mass Effect and Bioshock. But then I thought about KZ2, Resistance, and some others and I could not see myself being comfortable with a 360 controller. I don't know why.

I love the PS3 controller for one reason. I can use my opposite thumb to use the other joystick, like, so I can keep moving with one hand, or if i ahve to re-position my thumb. I try that on the 360 and its SUCH A Huge reach!

So yeah. I dunno if you guys know what i'm talking about, but yeah. its nice.

Yes I agree the PS3 controller has a better design. The swaped analog sticks is annoying.

Weight 360, size 360, analog placements 360, triggers, 360, rumble 360, hand fit 360, analog sticks/pads 360, buttons 360, overall feel (not cheap feeling) 360.

D-Pad and motion sensing that is usually off by default PS3. Oh don't forget accidently hitting your PS button to turn your PS3 on by mistake (same with BR remote) Wow!
