Surprisingly I haven't had any overheating problems with my 360(s). My first one crapped out the second day I had it (red lights) but my new one has yet to red light me. What it does do is "To play this disc, put it in an Xbox 360 console". I think I'd rather have the red lights.... I mean come on now, this POS doesn't even recognize that it IS an xbox 360? It happens constantly and even brand new just opened no chance of being scratched games have to be ejected and put back in 8-9 times before they will play. Anyone else have a problem with their 360 not knowing that it's a 360?

I've only had that happen to me twice, and both times it was on my old, and somewhat scratched, NBA 2k6 game. Not sure what your problem is though

Good Ol' Microsoft.... I think I'll just use my best buy warrantee instead of dealing with MS. MS couldn't build it right the first time so I have little faith in their ability to fix the problem now. This will be my 3rd 360 in a little over 6 months.

Ya, we around here know all about 360 failures. I'm on my 3rd and my brother in law is on his 4th.

If a playstation product showed me the red light treatment, i would send it back to Sony with a selection of profanities. after its funeral ceremony of coarse.

On a more serious note though, why would you keep a console that broke after " days? why not see the light and go Playstation?

After my 360 broke the 2nd time, I got mad and ever since I only buy PS3 games and vow never to buy another 360 game and never to pay for xlive again either.

oh that's funny. you're saying that because you have that little 360 owner tag in your sig.

And did you ever own a ps2? My ps2 gave me a TON of problems. Faulty disc drive, overheating. But that didn't bother you?
