Xbox 360/720 the new Casual Boxes?

I still haven't forgiven Microsoft for how they mercilessly gutted Rare, and they've been quite open on how they don't care about exclusives, on top of jumping on this casual "Just Dance" fad.

You the rest of the Life of the Xbox 360, and Xbox 720 Will go the way of the Wii, but instead of Mario and Zelda once every 3 years it will be Halo and Gears once every 3 years?

I might abandon the xbox brand all together if TRIBES turns out to be the Halo replica it's hyped to be.

I guess this mean the Wii U will be a hardcore system while the 720 will be the Wii of next gen, nothing but casual games.

Between the highest CoD sales, Kiinpect, Gaylo, and Gears of Bore....

I'll agree somwhat, but honestly I don't care I'm still playing Halo 3

Lets hope not. I'm sure they're going to implement Kinect in their next system, hopefully they'll beef it up also, and create more hardcore original IPs. Most gamers on the 360 want the games their used to,or were spoiled with at the beginning. Yeah those Kinect titles like Kinect Sports, Dance Central, and Kinect Adventures are fun, but not the type of games a lot of us want to play on a day to day basis. I use mine about 1 x week, and while it is a fun change of pace, I'd much rather sit down with my controller, pop in BF3, Gears, or Forza4. The good thing is if Microsoft does go that route there will always be other options, like Nintendo, or Sony. Thank god for competition.

Wii has that field dominated. MS holds the multiplayer/shooter crowd. Why would they abandon that and put themselves in direct competition with Nintendo's juggernaut?
Simple answer. They wouldn't.
You'd be an idiot to think that MS will attempt anything more than branch out to casuals.

I like the Kinect, but nobody would call me casual if they saw my game library, so.....

Plus, what's not casual about games like Uncharted or Gears of War or God of War? They're incredibly easy to pick up and play, and give instant gratification as well.

And hell, they're advertised on tv all the time to non-gamers.
