Yeah, no company is free of making mistakes like this. Even Nintendo and Sony have switched executives.

But MS still has a long way to go to convince me of buying an Xbone, a steady stream of exclusives years down the line would be nice.

Also their PC devision is clueless. We want great games like Age of Empires and Flight Simulator again, not ports of smartphone games... WTF are they thinking ?

When it came to everything that truly mattered to GAMERS, Playstation was far and away the undisputed king of this gen:

-PSN+ >>> XBL by magnitudes.

-Playstation exclusives utterly dominated by every criteria you can think of.

-Playstation 3 was the graphically superior console, had blue-ray, standard wireless controllers etc

The 360 on the other hand was complete shit. The fees on top of extortion fees just in order to access basic features and even basic online gameplay. Microsoft is despicable.

The 360 was weaker too, didnt even have blue-ray, and its standard controllers needed batteries.

Then there is the fact the 360 exclusive library is the single most pathetic and miserable exclusive library of all time-nothing but the same old boring repetitive lackluster Gears/Halo/Forza sequels shoved down consumers throats year in and year out...

In NO universe was the 360 a success to gamers.

And still tthe PS3 outsold the 360, so the PS3 did have the sales to match too. The PS3 was commerically and critically the bigger success, bottom line...end of story.

And the momentum of the PS3 carried Sony into the PS4 riding on fire, so yes, winning to gamers did matter.

That good will that started with the PS3 in 2009 has since been blossoming and blossoming for Sony/Playstation. Again, its carried into the PS4 and Sony has been doing all the right things with the PS4 to match. The PS4 is an unstoppable juggernaut. The PS4 is like the PS2 of our time in terms of popularity.

The PS4 is the ultimate gamers console and is widely considered one of the best, most feature rich, powerful, gamer focused consoles to ever be released. It didnt happen over night. Its been Sony and their stellar first parties working their butts off; because Sony and their stellar first parties are gamers themslefes and just want to put out great products/games that they themselfes would love and be proud of etc.

Microsoft wanted to avoid giving away any type of warrenties, hence the fact they tried to deny RROD issues even existed... so again they were FORCED into eventually doing what they did BY THE GOVERNMENT

And NOT ONCE did Microsoft ever apologise. The only thing that came out from them was how much the warrienties will cost them, like if it was consumers faults that Microsoft knowingly relesed faulty hardware upon the public.

The original Xbox was such a money hole. The contract with nVidia especially was crazy expensive.

Peter Moore did formally apologize when they announced the new warranty and even refunded people that had already paid to have their 360's repaired. It cost them a billion dollars to do it. If that isn't a good enough apology then you have issues.
