Just wondering...

i dont really like the exclusives, you need to pay for live, and i dont really like the console in general..i'd get a ps3 if the price fell a little
Hardware failures but since you don't have that I'd say the add ons... $100 is too damn much for Wi-fi.
Several reasons:
1. I hate Microsoft as a company
2. It would end up costing too much money since I basically need and want many of the add-ons that come with the PS3 including Blu-Ray
3. I don't like the game library enough. Most games I can get on PS3, from the ones I can't and want to get most are available on PC (and I have a good PC) and right now I can't think of any I want that is only on Xbox.
4. I don't want to pay to play the online content of a game I already bought.
Im not paying to be called names by tweens.loco145
Here Here!
Truth be told, I don't hate XBox... I even once had a 360. I voted online fees because that's the biggest turnoff for me, but honestly I think the number one reason I won't buy a 360 again is that I have a PS3. The two are too similar in libraries and capabillities for me to justify having both.
I think the biggest reason is hardware issues and paying for online To flip the topic, reason I won't buy a PS3 is price and that is all that stops me. Toriko42
but the ps3 is the best bang for the buck. it comes fully loaded with everthing, your getting your money's worth

You really care why John doesn't like your Xbox?

Funny, always thought of you as a Lemming and I thought you thought I was attack MS somehow so you were trying to defend them. The truth is I am just trying to start a nice, healthy, little debate about the biggest flaw of the Xbox... really, no one trying to aggravate the fanboys here. ;)Is this thread about people who love the Xbox, no. I only want one thing, backwards compatibility[QUOTE="campzor"] 5. Sony > MS DonPerianWhat makes you say that? Surely it's not based off of financial assessments. no i just like sony more then ms.. + i prefer japanese products to american.. Sony = Columbia pictures , cameras , tvs, consoles (probably more) ms = Windows / xbox

I only want one thing, backwards compatibility Try a PS2.I do have a 360, but I hate it because of the Noisy fan and drive, the lock ups, the RROD hanging over it's head, having to pay for multiplayer
Couple things.
I find it stupid that I have to pay for my internet connection, then pay again to use it.
I hate the controller, analogs feel too tight and it's too clunky.
Failure rate.
Loud.
Lastly, and most importanly, I have already have a gaming PC with a GTX 275 so I can already play 90% of 360's "exclusives".
Dont wanna buy a machine that will just break.
Dont want to pay to play online.
Dont like the Xbox controller... dunno why just feels funny in my hands, perhaps from growing up with the ps1 and ps2 controller.
And I already own a PS3, dont wanna fork out the extra cash to buy another console for the few exclusives i can't play. However if i had a bunch of extra cash laying around i might reconsider... eh no i wouldn't. I would buy a psp, I kinda want a handheld.
why didn't you put "All of the Above" ? I would also like to add.
1 - horrible Reliability
2- Pay to Play online
3- Price for needed add ons
4- Don't like the Library
5- I just hate Micro$oft
6- lack of good games 09
7- xbox is known for system abandonment
8- my friends got PS3
9- it's very loud
Not an issue of hate with me.
The original Xbox was my favorite platform to game on, next to GC.

1. paying online is a joke
2. if i were to buy games it;ll be multiplats wich i can have on ps3
3. paying online is a joke but for almost everything. LOL
4. i never like microsoft
6. I would'nt bother about RROD cause if i baught a xbox it'll be the elite one, wich is almost like getting a ps3
Region lock, Pay for online, junk hardware. And I just generally dislike XBOX and I have ever since it came out. It was fine until they started buying off JRPGs and screwing with the genre. Stay out MS, you're still losing in Japan. Give up.

Good point, I used to have an xbox. They they ditched you in favor of the 360. Jerks.
Try a PS2. I want to play it on a PS3 though, my PS2 has DRE[QUOTE="Brownesque"][QUOTE="Toriko42"] I only want one thing, backwards compatibilityToriko42
Then get it fixed for like $40.
It's not like the 360 has particularly great BC anyways.
A Solid State Drive actually increases install times by quite a bit, but it does lower load times by 5 seconds or so. Completely not worth it in my opinion since it's what? $200 for a 64GB and $550 for a 256GB?Not an issue of hate with me.

- Paying for online - I don't game often as i used to and online MP is something i don't exactly take too seriously or spend alot of time on. I don't even play online with my PC. I don't see the point in having to pay $50 a year when I can use that money on something else. Time and Investment is the main issue.
- PS3 - is simply a more bang for my buck value to me. I get a BR-Player, DVD-CD Player, and it plays games. And the hardrive is completely upgradeable to my liking. Soon, I'm getting a SS Drive, thanks in part of an IGN artical about it. 360 - you need an MS-made HDD. Plus, BR movies are pretty sweet. I don't exactly have a DVD collection (have only 35) after my roommate brother moved away (he has over 500), now that he's left, I can start from scratch and build my own BR Movie collection.
- 360 - seem more focused on the MP Online experience. Not my cup of tea. Read #1.
I was real happy with my PS1 and PS2, so when the deuce died, I grabbed an 80 gig BC model (they were still in stores). It really wasn't much of a choice, 360 didn't have a chance for me. These series are the ones that I must play: Ratchet & Clank, God of War, Burnout, Metal Gear Solid, SOCOM, Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, Resident Evil, Sly Cooper, Gran Turismo, Jak & Daxter, ICO, Prince of Persia, NCAA Football, NBA 2K, and MLB The Show. I knew all of those would be appearing on PS3 (or have the best chance) and it really came down to those series.
At this point, PS3 is providing me with enough games, not to mention I'm still finding awesome PS2 games for dirt cheap. The new IPs have been a pleasant surprise. Uncharted has jumped into my top ten favorite games of all time. Little Big Planet has given me infinite replayability. Resistance and KZ have given me my FPS fix just as good as Halo did (as well as Bioshock, COD4, and Orange Box). InFamous is a great open world platformer, just like Sly before it. Motorstorm is a fun arcade racer, right up there with Burnout. The addition of Ninja Gaiden to the PS line-up is a dream come true for a DMC and GOW fan. My library looks on track to hit the 50+ mark for me, like PS2 and PS1 did. I buy 10 games a year and half of them are exclusives. I can't really ask for much more.
The 360 doesn't offer me enough to grab one, even at $200. Mass Effect, Left 4 Dead, Fable 2, and Gears are the only games that really peak my interest at this point. The Live Arcade puts the PS Store to shame, but I'm not really interested in smaller games (except for Braid). We'll see what happens though, because MS doesn't really announce anything until release is imminent. Alan Wake looks like its right up my alley, as does the new Splinter Cell. If those two games turn out to be killer apps, I'll probably plunk down the money and grab all the exclusives I wanted to check out. Paying for online is a load of crap BTW. A minor issue, but still annoying.
