Xbox haters... what is the biggest thing keeping you from getting one?

Nothing is preventing me, i just already have a ps3 and a wii. I'll be upgrading my PC eventually and i've already put quite some time in Halo 3/Gears 1&2 at friend's houses, so the few exclusives left i can live without. Too expensive to have every console :P

I already have one, but TC....why didnt you put RROD and E74 errors on your poll??? Thats a HUGE reason why some people are not buying the xbox 360.

The biggest reason I think I shouldnt have bot a 360 is cuz of the p2p online. But basically the only 360 exclusives that interest me are ME2(cant get that on ma PC cuz its too high spec), Forza 3 and Fable. I got a used 360 only for 100 bucks from my neighbour so I am getting these games, otherwise i wouldnt ahve gotten a 360.

Just to clarifyi dont game online for ma 360. ME and fable 2 are the only games i play for it ;)

I'm not a hater, but I don't really like too much about what they've done this generation, and no game on it is really pushing me to get one either.

RRoD is the biggest issue here. I wouldn't knowingly buy faulty hardware... ever. It's the same reason why I'm skipping out on the Iphone 3Gs for now. Until they get the overheating issue fixed I'll go get one. Same case with RRoD, they haven't fixed the issue enough where it's not a huge problem anymore.

And then the games... I can't say the PS3 is doing much better, but I was a huge PS2 gamer, and what PS2 had was Japanese games. I'm not trying to be racist or anything, but there's something about Western games that's just not appealing... and the majority of these are shooters, which I don't really care too much for.

I have two reasons, but your poll only covers one. One, paying for online, which is completely ridiculous. And two, Microsoft's current business practice. I don't believe in shoddy merchandise. Vista and 360 are enough to make me turn away from Microsoft, at least for the time being. I don't hate them, but they really need to step up on the quality checking.

where's RROD?? i would suspect that's a reason ppl are sometimes wary about buying one. plus some ppl who have another console are satisfied with that and don't feel like shelling out another $400-500 (including add-ons) for something that they basically already have.jasong1011

Lack of standard features. (wifi, BR, controller needs batteries :lol: etc...)

Power brick not built in like other consoles. Its freaking HUGE, where the hell am i supposed to place it......?

i am not an xbox hater ,i am an xbox fanboy hater and a ps games library fan. i am going to buy an xbox360 this week though mainly for cheaper games.i didnt buy an xbox sooner mainly for the hardware failure ,too afraid that i had to send the console away for a long period (greece not usa,things work different here......),also i am not gonna bother for online since i have to pay extra,also why is hard disk so expensive? so basically these 3 reasons matter to me,i like the current games library of xbox (dont like the future releases much but i am a jrpg fan and think sth will be announced in tgs)

the only thing i dont know yet is which model i should take ,the arcade one cause its cheaper and i have hdmi cable.or the 60giga its expensive to me,thinking that forza will need a hard disk(to get the full expirience)i think hard disk is mandatory for future games so i think i will search for a used arcade jasper and put a 120giga in.

Why? Is it Ｓｏ bad that instead of forcing everyone to buy a PS2 in the PS3 they are selling the PS2 separately only for those who need it? I certainly don't want to buy a PS2 again. And owning two separate consoles isn't the worst thing in the world; the PS2 is so small it can nearly fit anywhere.

I really don't understand anger towards this, because it is ultimately better for the majority of gamers in the long run, being that the PS2 was the most popular console last gen and they probably already own one. And if they don't, no big deal, they can go out and buy one for the price of BC in the PS3. Or, lucky you, you can get yours fixed for relatively cheap.

I would buy an xbox 360 but im afraid i might get the rrod. Also you have to pay for online which kinda sucks.

I don't hate the xbox, I just don't want to bother with the RROD again.

I game only on the weekends, not really worth paying for online imo.

Not to mention I'm only interested in Gears.

some thing abt it doesn't appeal to me, its exclusives somehow are very american..... i hate that, i like the japanses way, the x360 has a huge japanses games this genrations but they all stoped after star ocean 4 in Feb, i dun think there will be any japanses exclusives for x360 anymore.......and the RRoD, man how can i be playing when i expect the console to die on me at anytime????

i am not an online person, so live isn't something that justify the x360 for me, overall x360 isn't for me.

sony had the PS3 and still did not abandon the PS2 it's still kicking till this day.

paying $50 to unlock the internet connection. every other electronic device with an ethernet connection is internet ready out of the box, eg. wii, PS3, PC, palm pilot, laptop , ipod touch etc. xbox is the only thing in the world that makes you pay.
