If you like to game only on consoles , there are plenty of reasons to want to get a Xbox Series S or X. If you prefer to game on PC, I don't see any reason to get an Xbox console personally. If you like to game on both PC and console than I can see some benefits of having an Xbox console and a gaming PC.

@randy_lahey: I said “system exclusives”, can’t you read?

Cows have been telling us since the PS1 only single system exclusives count as games.

Not letting you cows forget that just because PS5 hasn’t got them anymore.

Xbox went multiplat with the PC a long time ago. You can play Xbox games on so many more systems.

In the real world, people don’t care about Xbox vs PlatStation like you Sony nuthuggers do. Because the PC is always a choice now. Or the PS4 in Sony’s case.

Dude, you need to do a fact check before posting nonsense.

1. The ps5 have 2 exclusives as of now. I’m not concerned with the future now because ALOT can and will change.

2. The Xbox went multiplat last gen, with Halo 5 being the Xbox last exclusive (I believe).

3. You’re right, you can play Xbox games on other platforms, yet the Xbox is currently in 3rd place (behind the other 2 platforms with exclusives). I’m not saying that’s why the Xbox is in 3rd place, but it is however an observation.

You need to read better before posting nonsense.

1. I said "Only reason to get a PS5... Is marginally better looking PS4 games.".

It isn't factual to bring up Returnal and Ratchet all the time. Because a. People weren't buying Returnal in the first place. So b. It's tedious to bring up exclusions like Ratchet every time, when it isn't even relevant here. If someone really wanted Ratchet, there's a high chance they've bought the system for that by now.

2. 2016 was a long time ago. And MS started releasing some Original Xbox games like Halo and Halo 2 and quite a few Xbox 360/PC.

So in comparison, console/PC releases are not something MS has ever really had an issue with.

3. There are other reasons and variables for this. MS does not expect Xbox Series to "win" a console war.

Dude, exclusives isn’t defined by how many copies a particular game sell or how relevant a game is “to you”. Go look up the meaning of the word “exclusive“. You clearly stated “ps5 no longer have exclusives” and when I prove you wrong, you deflect to “laughable” reasons why these games shouldn’t count as exclusives to fit your mind numbing narrative.

I didn't say they shouldn't count as exclusives. I was speaking about "reasons to buy", so being pedantic by bringing up games people aren't really buying anymore, isn't "reasons to buy". :-S

Also, I was implying that new game releases were not system exclusive any more. We're all aware of Returnal and Ratchet. I'm not going to have an asterisk with "please see exceptions", every time I post.

Also, it's funny you use the words “ps5 no longer have exclusives”. You JUST proved me right. "no longer" implies Sony release system exclusives, but do not release system exclusives anymore. So if I "clearly stated" that, then the problem is with your own reading comprehension.

@Sagemode87: Xbox is the greatest system ever made, let that fact sink in deeply, deep enough that you feel it in your bones.

You can get a series x for £450 versus £600 for q ps5. Thats enough reason right there

Plus its the more powerful console and has gamepass and can also play ps2 and all the retro consoles

Dude, trying to debate with you will make one have an aneurysm. You keep in changing the narrative to make your side of the argument look legit.

1. Maybe we/you was discussing sales but what I quoted you on was when you stated that “the ps5 no longer have exclusives“, I pointed out both Returnal and R&C because as of now they’re both are still exclusives.

2. You no longer was talking about reasons to buy by saying “I’m not letting you cows forget that just because the ps5 haven’t got them anymore“. It’s in the very exact post that we’re quoting, and it can be clearly seen that you was talking exclusives.

3. Dude, I was quoting you, not stating. I clearly said that I’m not speaking about the future now, as we all don’t know what the future holds. Word is that Ragnarok, GT7, and H:FW was supposed to be ps5 exclusives, but seeing how constrained the production of ps5 were initially, Sony decided to make those games cross-gen to potentially make up on profit because they knew that those games would more than likely fall on their faces after seeing the poor sales of Returnal and R&C which were and still is exclusive to the ps5.

My narrative is the same.

1. You did it again. "no longer" means incoming games for me. And since it's you questioning me. My interpretation is what matters.

2. "because the ps5 haven’t got them anymore". If you're going to take my words literally, take them literally. Anymore means that since those two games you mentioned, there has been no single system exclusives. Sometimes I do chose my words on purpose and "anymore" was on purpose, with the implication as I have stated.

What happened is, you are attaching your own interpretation to my use of language. "anymore" to you means that "all that was, is no more" as if to encompass the whole time period of the PS5s games. My use was literally to mean that from a stated point (since those games), there seems to be no more exclusives.

For example in 2016, I would have said "Forza Motorsport isn't exclusive anymore" because it went to the PC. "PS5 doesn't seem to be getting exclusives anymore". Do you see what I mean? That is what I meant, but the original sentence was poorly written, I admit that looking back.

This isn't me debating, or arguing. Now I understand where you found the problem, this is me now explaining what I meant when I used those words.

3. I don't think Ratchet sold poorly. I heard it sold well, could be wrong. I personally think it was a mistake to make GT7 cross gen. As a sim, GT7 should have been a tech showcase for the PS5, especially considering how infrequently GT games are released.

I think now sales are high enough, PS5 could actually get "some" system exclusive AAAs again. But the problem is, the games cost so much to make. I'm not sure how long Sony can hold off PC releases.
