Not out yet! I am sick and tired of these responses (no offense to you). When it comes out (I know it will but let's wait until then) we can have this discussion again. ATM, this is not possible on the PS3. 'Nuff said. Also, do you think XBL will remain stagnant? At the end of the day, it is all subjective. I have no problem putting down 50 for XBL. Heck, I would put down 50 if PSN was on the same level. Do I like shelling out money? No, but I enjoy playing games and realizes my preferences come with certain costs.

All I know is that Sony has already announced and shown the features we are discussing. They ARE a reality.

Anything you want to say that will change on Live is pure speculation and a thought contrived in your own head. I have seen zero news on Live updates.

With that said, you are right, the features aren't here now for the PS3. Great. So you are trying to make the money already spent worthy. we get it. Its the money going forward you must question. Its trying to hold on to "pwnage" for a few more months that makes you look bad.

I just booted up my PS3. I can't find the XMB, care to tell me where it is? Also, concerning your last sentence, I am not defending XBL or tearing down PSN. I am simply stating my opinion. ATM, XBL is much better than PSN. "Ownage" is for all the little fanboys on this site. I could care less about "ownage". Personally I would love to see PSN better as I use it. And MS and Sony have promised a lot. I tend to what for it to be a reality. Oh and my definition of reality is not a press release. It is when these "promises" make it to the consumer.

You sure you have a PS3? All I see of your posts today is pro-360 and anti-PS3. And then you make a statement about not finding the XMB? Seriously?

Right. I get ya. It has to be released for us to really know it exists. Sure about that? Sure you don't mean we don't know HOW it works until its released but that we DO know it exists before it comes out based on various sources claiming it so?

Tell me is GTA4 real?

It is not about knowing it exists, but the whole theme of your posts is just wait until this summer. OK, I will. And if PSN equals XBL, great! But until then I will not engage in speculation about what it could be. Is GTA4 real? What is your problem? Of course it is "real" but it isn't out yet so commenting on how good it is, is only speculation. Stop being dense.

I own a PS3, but I don't guess on what it could be, I take it at what it currently is. Maybe my statement should have been more precise. Where is the XMB with the communication options you referred to? Can you answer that?

Also, XBL updates twice a year. Each time with new bells and whistles. Mostly these updates are about silly things, imo. However, if you really think MS will watch PSN catch up in features and do nothing, I can't help you out.

Edit: Couple of thoughts to add- SecretPolice did a good job of showing the fallacy of your GTA4 comment. Also, just because I own a PS3 does not mean I can't see its faults. Same with the Wii and the 360. I could list these console faults as well, but this is not the appropriate thread.

Again, I have said nothing about how well the in-game XMB will work. No clue, haven't tried it. But I do know what the point of it is. With GTA4, I know its a game I can play. Even before its realised (what?!?! say it ain't so). Now, when GTA releases, what's the likelihood of it being a music CD or a DVD movie? ZERO, its a game. Just like the in-game XMB means its in-game XMB. Access the chat and music features of the XMB while IN-GAME. Its a matter of time, not a matter of what it will do.

And, again, what the point in trying to say $50 is worth it if its only worth it for another few months? If yuo are trying to justify what you have spent already, you are justified. Money well spent to get the features off the bat. But once a competitor releases the same features for free, the benefit in paying goes out the window. That's all my point is.

Exactly. These features have not been released yet. Also, there are other features PSN doesn't have that XBL has, so it still won't be equal. Finally as I have said several times, this is all based on personal preference. I have friends in other countries that have 360s that I talk too. I can't do that on the PS3. Does this mean the PS3 is garbage? Hardly, it just means some of my friends don't own it. So for me, I use XBL for these type of things in addition to gaming. It is a personal choice and there is no right answer. Except to say, ATM, XBL features >> than PSN features.

I used to be blind to XBL. I had an original Xbox for 4 years and a 360 for over a year until I ponied up the $50 fee. I will never regret that decision. I can keep in constant contact with my friends all over the world now without a hitch. Playing games like Halo and Call of Duty with friends is priceless. I owned a PS3 for a short time but no one was chatting and my friends wouldn't buy one. I will contnue to pay the XBL fee gladly since I would spend more than that in long distance costs talking on the phone to my friends overseas and across country. Oh yeah, and I have the camera also which makes it seem as though they are there with me. Very cool.fanboy999

It is your internet connection that allows you to be in touch with your friends overseas. Try paying your Live membership and not paying your internet bill and see how useful Xbox live is.

They online with MLB THE SHOW is pretty bad as well. I dont think they optimized it enough online, a flaw in last years game as well. I would have to think it is different for my live network, i just feel like its more stable as well. Im a pretty saavy guy so my internet isnt the problem.

Well, as far as I'm concerened, I think the main difference between Xbox Live and the PSN is in-game messaging. I dont particularly care about hoop-lah match making stuff, nor do I even know when it's actually working. Only thing I know that I like better about Xbox Live is that you can message during game sessions, whereas the PSN you cant. And, it's been said, the in-game XMB is coming soon, this summer, and then there wont be a big difference between the two. Mainly just a 50 dollar fee and dedicated servers rather than P2P.
