Yeah it has been a little slow. All the features and the such are fine for me, but the network has seemed to been acting up. It's kind of annoying. I'm not sure if it is because of Christmas, or what, but it needs to be corrected soon.
Also, this shouldn't have been posted here. You're going to see a ton of novice posters with terrible arguments as to why Xbox Live blows.
I've had nothing but problems with it ever since Friday of last week. Even when I called costumer service they even said that the network has been having problems. I've been so pissed off because of it! Anyone know what the heck is going on?neversummer75
I called costumer services and they said my clown outfit was ready! :P
OMG i was gonna maek a topic in the 360's boards asking why im paying for this...
I cant even play any online games without a ridiculous amount of lag.....its becoming unplayable......
paying $50 a year for what??? I have an option to download movies??? I dont even use any of that extra stuff, i just want to play online...and with all this lag (360 fanboys claim xbox live has no lag, and its only your connection) its not possible and im paying money for it...

What? I could have swore that with all those dedicated servers, there would never be any lag, slow down, crashing, or cheating. Surely the lemmings didn't lie to us?

So you have lag on a consistent basis? I usually never have large issues with lag unless Xbox Live is having network issues whichrarely happens often from my 3 years experience with it. Plus the issues I have had this past week, and my friends, it is just lag more than often, but not a ridiculous amount.

I think they did. They did a Sony on us.

well im basing all of this just fron Team Fortress 2.....its not playable...
Halo gives me no lag, well it did on occasion..
Its just the entire thing, like Rainbow Six Vegas has been my favorite game online for 360, and its pathetic....if the host leaves the entire game is disconnected, lag and tons of other issues, and if you've played the game you know how bad it is..
Its just million of people are paying them $50 a year...you would think they could at least put some of that into bettering the actual paying online part, nobody cares about services like download movies, tv shows or any of the other new stuff they keep adding.....make dedicated servers or something...because people are basically paying for what ps3 and PC gives you for free...
This just proves that even whenyou have to pay to play you are still not getting anything that's as good as a free service (actually worse than free serveses).jimm895
Too bad you're wrong. Xbox Live is currently a better service.

I understand what you're saying, but I am guessing some of it has to do with the devs and TF2 is known to have quite a laggy online play for the 360. I believe it's a known issue and VALVe is trying to patch it, or already did.

Looks like they need more servers and bandwidth. XBox Live is growing quickly. The Christmas rush and so many kiddies on vacation may be causing all these backups. Everything should be back to normal by next week when everyone is back in school.

XBL online play is a joke compared to PSN.
xTHExJUICEx
Haha, no.
There are 5+ more million people on XBL, they're obviously going to run into problems, and it's still a better service than PSN.
I love how Cows rant on about 360 owners having to pay $50 a year for XBL, then turn around and  about how awesome it is to pay $40 for a demo on PSN

It's a DEMO with some extras thrown together, probably so PD can recoup some of the excessive losses they're no doubt experiencing because of the dodgy Cell.
You can't simply turn my comment around like that anyway, Cows have been ranting on for AN AGE about XBL, while the $40 demo was only announced recently.

Since when do you have to pay for the demo compared to having to pay to play online?
Guys I'm just so pissed off right now! The only reason I am even staying with the xbox360 is because of xboxlive. I'm not a big fan of playing single player games. I'm very competative and love playing my games over xbox live against my friends and other human beings. I've had a xbox360 since launch and am on my 3rd xbox360system already. I've been having nothing but problems with xbox live ever since Friday of last week. I've called costumer support and they are aware of the problem and they say they have been working on it. However, the told me that this problem has been reaking havock on the system and that they are having problems fixing it. Even though I HATE Sony, if the PS3 had decent games and a online service that was as good as xbox live, I would jump ship in a heart beat. MS better get their act together fast because a lot of people are going to jump ship if they dont get there stuff together. xbox live is one of the major selling points of the system!neversummer75
microsoft are already aware of the problem..relax

EA has their own servers for all of their games, TF2 blows online when using a 360.

I don't see any dissapointment Sony has done except for Lair, which was the devs fault anyway. I do agree with the second poster of this chain; people seem to advertise XBL as the best ever- lag free, always on, etc.
I'm sorry to hear of your troubles with XBL, but hopefully it'll be fixed soon (even though I don't own microsoft hardware, except for this PC mouse I have ;)

[QUOTE="imelitenow"]this proves that PSN is better:Dlawlessx
as i recall..the entire PSN network crashed for a number of hours due to a large ammount of people downloading one demo....
what this does prove is that microsoft didnt prepare xbox live for the xmas season
There hasn't been a $40.00 demo on PSN instead it's a downloadable game. All the DEMOS on PSN are free and some games are very inexpensive while some are about the same as buying the retail hard copy. And we are able to get this service free instead of being milked for $50.00 and then charged outrages prices for everything and anything to update the game system.

I don't know if anyone else had this problem but... I can't download any demos, and really freaking want to. It says you can't download this demo with this rating. Parental controls are off (they always have been). I checked the interweb, and other people had this problem too. :( Oh well...brightshadow525
