I've been a long time xbox user and I just got a PS3 this christmas - I am very disapointed with the online for PS3.

My biggest issue is the lack of people with headsets. The system does not come with one which explains a lot of it - but there is hardly anyone with one. Another problem is the lack of voice chat support in playstation's community orientated Playstation Home - it's almost as if sony is against voice communication.

What do you guys feel about each service.

Sure Xbox Live is superior in every way possible but the Playstation Network is good enough for me.

There is no way anyone should trade in a 360 for a PS3. Its not worth it. I really enjoy my PS3 but I would have cried if I would have traded my 360 for it.

it's barely worth it now, since yes, our online isn't that good. home has voice chat now by the way. and what games are you playing? almost everybody has a mic, but in games where all you can say is "heeeeyyyyy, watcha doing?" nobody wears them. I only wear mine in bad company, because in that game tactics help.

but if you get one, and you keep it until MAG comes out, you won't regret it. 256 players online and photorealistic graphics... raytracing on the visors of people's helmets (theres a leak video of somebody seeing an enemy behind themselves in the visor of another enemy and killing them) and the ability to paradrop into enemy bases should be sick.

I've had both and I believe PSN is just as good as XBL, but I prefer PSN because it's free. XBL doesn't do much that PSN doesn't.

Iowned a PS3 for two years, and a 360 for one day today. I must say psn is great because of lag free gameplay and wow, 60 players lag free resistance 2 and little big planet. I am not really used with live wet on 360, but presentation is great, but I know it LAGS, so I do not plan to use it a lot.
