Xbox lost NPD, E3 up for grabs.

E3 will be a win.

1. Sony has hurt severely their own hype outside a few forums having people still waiting for nonsense that may or may not show up, and at this point the general Casual COnsumer willc are less, especially considering the Xbox conference is being hyped to Kingdom come.

2. Announcing an NPD win during E3 or after the conference will be a big help, media will spin it, and the rest will be on auto-pilot.

3. The PS4 games will likely not release this year outside the games we know, so even if partial hype games are announced, Xbox One will still have more games for 2015 unless Sony throws multiple-surprises. Expect release dates of 2 unconfirmed games this year, before and during the "4 month" MS holiday season.

4. MS will announce a 1 TB Sku. If they release it, they can lower the price of the regular 50GB model to $299. Sony will most likely not have a similar plan given Batman Pre-orders, and a few other things they have listed, it is possible they may do a price drop out of desperation, but something tells me they will ride WW until say September, or October (or announce it at gamescom despite not having a conference since they are still there. Giving way too much hyype and time to Xbox.

Man, Xbox One got one victory for one month (a very low selling month, mind you) in one territory, and we're already on this stage:

You'll be surprised, because I actual have info this time. Of course, PS4 could always turn it around, I don't know with what though, at least for May. June different story, of course E3 could influence the events.

The truth is the PS4 is doomed, in terms of being a leading console in NA, the gap will go to Xbox One by or before the end of the year, I mean nothing else more to say. You laugh at the (You do know how to use quote right?) quote you post but the fact is that even other website forums have noticed Xbox has been increasing most of the time for the last several months and being stable at worst, while PS4 has been dropping in weekly sales like a rock. Of course, like last month you'll have to see it yourself to finally get it through to the back of your mind that it's over.

I don't know about May, but June 100%. They're going to show Halo 5, show off the contents of the $250 collectors edition and not only that, show off the 1tb Halo 5 Limited Edition console...

June to January is going to be all Xbox One.

I see no intelligible factors that has given credence to any company winning this month over any other... Both consoles are mediocre. E3 could have an effect, but what makes us so sure that these companies are going to deliver? They haven't delivered a decent e3 since mid last gen....

I will say that if there is a custom mass effect xone console announced in conjunction with EA, I will buy it despite the lack of compelling content.

I'll say May NPDs could go either way, by a small margin either way.

June NPDs, though, the Batman bundle has been selling out for three months straight. PS4 will take June comfortably.

Last year it had the Kinect, last year it was $500, last year people were still butthurt about policies and DRM, last year it didn't have Halo 5 on the horizon...

Last year it had 50+ price drops, actual exclusives and a "ambitious" Halo Collection and it still got destroyed.

Halo 5 alone won't make you win 6 months worth, it just won't.

Are we really going to have this thread every month? Do you really care if MS wins NA? I own both and couldn't care less who wins in WW sales or NA sales, but I do know that Sony is looking like the better console this gen considering MS is flirting with their 1st party games being multiplats with PC. As soon as that happens, why own an X1 at all when the games will perform better on the PC?

Sony already won June/July with batman bundles. Unless MS has another bundle. I think the Halo MCC bundle is pretty much tapped out.

I only put a confirmed numbers directly stated (MS said it was X over a number we had before it's easy to get the nuber and it's from an official statement, same for Nintendo, Sony was quite, I did say they did more than the 3DS however, that much we DO know.. I did post PS4 "estimated" number in the thread though, If you want me to change title however, even gaf/Reddit/etc. don't do that unless it's almost 100% confirmed numbers.

July will have no effect from the Batman bundles. Also your White bundle is nonsense, the NTSC radio is different and Japan was not the only country with White XBox Ones.

June prediction thread will be in august, and may or may not happen depending on the results of this month or if something odd happens during june during trends.

It's the 3rd E3 related to Next gen (not of course of this current gen) and we are almost 2 years in from launch, by now the developers working on games before and after launch or concepts, should be ready to show, lay, release, demo, beta by this time. If this E3 fails in that regard it will be a disaster.

Because that's all it can run. It's a pathetic system.

This time last year I bought my X1 with kinect for $399 with Titanfall included. The machine has been on sale pretty much constantly since the beginning of March 2014. PS4 still outsold it (even though people couldn't find it in stores) while the price was equal or lower with a game included. Not being a fanboy or anything, but price wasn't a huge factor in 2014. Only perception that has changed imo, is that this year has Halo 5, but to me, Halo is only Halo in name, outside of that, it's basically cod with a different jump mechanic. Halo no longer has it's own identity and Halo 1 Anniversary, Halo 4, and MCC have crushed all of my hype for the game. X1 may win, who knows, but please don't play the price card for it's defeat last year. MS unofficially dropped the price in March 2014 and then just kept the price going down or throwing in a bunch of free games with it to try to help sales, but it really didn't help until the holiday season when they HEAVILY advertised the $349 price point with 2 free games. A bunch of unknowing parents went with the cheaper option, that's all. My nephew asked for a PS4 but got an X1 because it was cheaper.

I hope so . MS needs sale to catch current gen 8 console leader PS4.

I haven't played my xb1 once since getting my ps4

i checked out my friends list and only one of my 360 friends got the xb1 he played mcc and tried out never winter mmo and has never played the xb1 ever again

i don't think may or april sales talk is gonna help the xb1 the system has no hype right now and no games, many of the people who bought it don't like playing on it and just don't like the system in general

the updates have all been superficial non-game changers, we are now months in without any exclusives or anything and most people on my friends list have just left the xb1 the problems with xb1 go deeper than a month or 2 stats of npd

im very concerned with the xbox one an so are probably retailers and 3rd party support

And Xb1 is still and will loose Worldwide sale to PS4. So what is the point of winning NPD only? Is not like it will or can catch up to PS4 in total sale the way things are headed!

He is right about it being down YOY, but I facepalmed when I read the rest of his post. Sony is probably going to reverse the YOY decline by the end of the year depending on the moves they pull in the next couple of months. November and maybe even december this year will be higher for the PS4 for sure.
