Despite HDMI 1.1 being included in the Xbox 360 premium, it is still not capable of doing LPCM 5.1-7.1, Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD-MA (High Definition Audio). This means the Xbox 360 is not a High Definition machine. :DMrBluRay
My brother has a brand new 1.3 HDMI receiver and its impossible to tell the difference. You start reaching for terms like "slightly sharper midrange, punchier midbass" and all the other ridiculous things audiophiles say to justify their thousands of dollars spent on that stuff. Diminishing returns FTL. Our eyes and ears can only discern so much detail.JiveT'Tis true....it's reached the point of being beyond pretenious and just obnoxious when 99% of the people in the world just don't have the experience to tell the real differences wihtou someon showing them (and even then they probably imagine it). It's like most people who drink wine....
