xbox one and Wii U don't have anything that tops EVE: Valkyrie.

@lamprey263: Apparently you can't read. I mention the Scorpio getting VR in my reply to your post in this thread. Xbone however is not a Scorpio and still doesn't have VR. As for shitting over PSVR I very much doubt that. Not even Vive and Oculus are better than PSVR IMO. PSVR is the most comfortable to use VR with less screen door effect and the better lineup of games. It's the people's choice for VR at the moment. It's the reason that despite owning a very capable PC I chose to get PSVR first over Vive.

"The systems that have no VR have no VR experiences" ... really?

The best space ship shooter experience is once again on PC with Elite Dangerous.

Also does anyone know if Star Citizen will offer VR? That would be epic.

One of Microsoft's objectives for building Scorpio was for "high fidelity VR", and the fact that you will be able to use a bevy of VR devices of your choosing is brilliant as you won't be ham-stringed into what Microsoft thinks is best for you.

Microsoft is already on board, Nintendo, I doubt very much not to mention they have nothing even remotely near proper hardware specifications to accomplish it.

Oh be quiet. Three weeks ago when PSVR launched you said it was simply too early for VR and a bad idea to put out headsets right now ("Not ready! World not ready for VR!! No content! I return Vive!!")

You're so obnoxious. You can't keep anything straight or together. You sound just like your favorite company, unsurprisingly.

One does not contradict the other, while I feel that software in general was not given ample time and preparedness for VR to launch, that doesn't mean what a company is doing given that reality is not smart.

If Microsoft doesn't launch VR they will be left behind, so they have to enter the market, and the way they're going about it is the smartest avenue given the state of the existing VR market.

Nice try though, A+ for effort.

So why is it the wrong time for PSVR but the right time for MS VR?

You're a real punk. You know that? Even when I try to see you resolve your contradictions I feel ill.

His biggest problem was that VR software wasn't exactly mature yet. I can see that point slightly. A lot of games are proof concept/demos. EVE: Valkyrie and RIGs are two full fledged solid ass games though, and are very addictive.

@dynamitecop said the very headset that you own (PSVR) is garbage and inadequate for a good VR experience. Reprojection would never work (even though Oculus and Valve just announced their own - similar - form of ASW/ATW recently to lower minimum specs). He said trashy mid-ranged console VR will also never work compared to high-end PC VR, and anything less than high-end will destroy public perception and the technology's future. He has made it clear he hates your PSVR in every conceivable way.

Also, he claims to have bought a Vive and sold it right away (which makes me doubt his story). So his other thing is "VR isn't ready and won't be for years." So now he's badmouthing Vive/Oculus, when he was using them as shining examples just a few weeks earlier. How fast can a person change their minds, and why so often? What's with his fickleness? Oh, there's more.......

Now that MS announced VR headsets as low as $299, he says it's an absolutely smart and perfect time, because it gets MS' foot in the door and lets developers learn the ways of VR. Bad, horrible, stupid timing for Sony, Oculus/Samsung, Google and Valve to release one now ("not ready for the consumer market! nothing to play!!"), but perfect and smart timing for Microsoft.

You don't really need to defend him. I know why he says these things, and why so many of his comments don't fit together. He's an obnoxious fanboy with jaundiced vision.

No wonder why he gave me an A+ for pointing this out. He's screaming for help.

But to return to topic, VR is awesome, and now is the perfect time to release it. VR games will continue to develop and get more full-bodied from here, and hardware will soon get eye/hand tracking added, as well as foveated rendering. More developers, more new ideas and ways to play, and more people to enjoy it. To me, this is a very exciting time for VR.

I'm not going to get into this with you because I don't care to find the posts and you're acting like a total degenerate, but all I'm going to say is that you're greatly misrepresenting what I said, how I said it and dramatizing the whole thing to levels not even remotely approached by me.

You're taking my thoughtfully laid out concerns, criticisms and personal feelings about all of these things and warping them into a vitriol fueled diatribe to fit a narrative that you want to project of me. You have no interest in a logical discussion, you have interest in proper quotations, you have no interest in properly representing what people have felt or said, and as such I have no interest in entertaining your bullshit.

You speak of fanboyism and how I'm this supposed horrible amalgamation of it, yet your entire post reads like a person that is angry, bitter and fighting back out of a necessity of defense for a product.

Shut up.

Reason #43658 why NyaDC is a clown and no one takes him seriously. The guy is a constant flip-flopper and goalpost mover. I just sit back and watch him make a fool of himself constantly on this board. He did the same thing with the PS4 Pro the other day. He bashed the PS4 Pro and said it was a meaningless upgrade with no exclusives and then turned around to praise the Xbone Slim and Scorpio lol. The guy is a total joke.

Just tried the COD Jackal VR experience. The ship interior looks nicer than the ships in Eve, it has better AA, and it was fun to play. The explosions however are flat and look weaksauce compared to Eve and the controls aren't as good as Eve's. Overall, a cool immersive experience, I wish it was longer but I can't complain since it's free.

I'm looking forward to devs having more cool VR additions like this to their game. It really draws you into the world they have created and I can tell it's going to make me enjoy the main campaign more now that I feel like I've lived in their world for a short time. :D Next stop, SWBF Rogue One experience *pew* *pew*.

I didnt recon much to Eve Valkyrie TBH but I played Elite Dangerous first and it spoiled me a little. The experience in these types of games does seem very real, its a level of immersion you could never reach in non vr games, with my Vive i can get out of my seat and walk around the cockpit of a ship and look at all the gadgets or just stare at space through the windows, it is really something to behold.

That just sounds awesome. I need to try out a Vive.

@n64dd: I would go as far as to say that there is nothing like the platforming game that is a part of VR Playroom. Being in the level like that is beyond anything I've ever experienced in a platformer or game in general.

I'm going to have to actually try Eve: Valkyrie tonight. That and Rigs. I've been sleeping on both of them.

If mega franchises like CoD want to push VR, then that tells me the interest is definitely there. The industry is making a place for it.

Both are amazing when you get the hang of it.
