Tighaman
Been linear or not has nothing to do with openess.
All games are linear, all have a goal you most fallow in orders to advance, that is a line.
The Jaguar CPU on PS4 is the same as on te xbox one,and on PS4 latency is not an issue in fact APU benefit from having fast ram.
Wait, what? That made no sense at all. My point was that like last gen, the differences overall will be minimal. The immaturity comes from the Cows are are posting that the PS4 games will look leaps and bounds better visually than Xbox One games. They aren't taking into consideration the entire system and how it works together, but just looking at one component. They are ignoring third party devs and actual gaming footage. That to me is immature. If the day comes the gaming footage reflects a 30 to 50% better graphics than the Xbox One, then you have a leg to stand on. But right now you just have paper, while factual, is minus the understanding of how the ram, cpu, gpu will work in tandem. And some are flat out ignoring actual game devs who have both dev kits in front of them. Again, some cows are very immature. Some.shawn30
The difference will be bigger than on 360,in fact the 360 has like 250gflops the PS4 has like 700Gflosp advantage over the xbox one,so it has the power of almost 3 xbox 360 over the xbox one,no one can come here and act like that is nothing,is enough to pull more than 20FPS advantage in some games.
The PS4 will be faster in all scenarios, and to keep pararity on speed developers most gimp the PS4 version or lower visual quality on xbox one,or drop AA or lower resolution.

Look at pc specs that are comparable and those are the framerates you get. There is a huge difference. Pretending they don't exist doesn't mean it doesn't. You shoould expect that some xbox one games will be disasters at launch compared to their ps4 counterpart. Lemmings are getting as crazy as sheep.[QUOTE="lostrib"]

Is hard to actually tell but should be more than 20FPS in most games.
480Gflops difference between the 7770 vs the 7850 is enough to produce 20+ in some games,600 to 700 on the PS4 vs the xbox one should at least produce that or more.
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/549?vs=536
While the 7770 doesn't have the bandwidth of the xbox one,the xbox one doesn't have the raaw flop count of the 7770 either, because it has a 10GPU reservation for system, which bring the flop count to 1.18 or close the 7770 is 1.28 TF.

Those double edge arguments so when is PC vs PS4 PC are the same as console and optimization means nothing, when is xbox one vs PS4 consoles are different from PC..
600 to 700 Gflops is enough to pull more than 20FPS,paired with faster memory and a more custom GPU and who knows how much it can be the difference.

what do those 20 fps matter if both games are capped at 30 fps? So unless the developer is going to put in the extra effort to make the PS4 version look significantly better, there wont be a significant real world difference

This ^^ argument will bring you problems when you argue PS4 vs PC..
If you want to hide under optimization which is a valid point, mind you the PS4 is also a console so it also be optimized, trying to imply that the xbox one will be the only console with optimization is not actually a valid or ever real scenario on the console war.

Are you a noob to graphics and PC.?
There PS4 already is surpass by PC,any ame that use the PC as lead platforms, will perform better on PS4.
When both consoles get push hard they will not be able to do 60 or even 40 FPS,so capping the game at 30 may not even be require and would probably be a side effect of the PS4 and xbox one hard innability to keep up with stronger PC hardware, the problem is that the PS4 at the same quality as the xbox one should be able to keep 20 FPS ahead,so if the PS4 game is hitting 30 or even sub 30 FPS the xbox one should be on the floor on the low 12 FPS with the same quality this can't be avoided.
Is a side effect of the PS4 having more resources,so much like the 7850 fall behind the 7870 in games at the same quality because it lack the power, the xbox one will suffer the same fate there is no way to stop this, but there is a way the xbox one games can get on par at least in FPS,yeah the same way you do on PC to get more frames, either drop AA,lower the resolition,or drop image quality from high to medium.
Not 1 hermit should debate this it is common knowledge on PC.

The bandwidth of the RAM is shared between both the CPU and GPU. There's a custom bus between the CPU and the GDDR5 RAM that limits the CPU bandwidth usage to 20 GB/s.
You make no sense and you don't know what you're talking about.
you have no idea what you talking about you think thats bus is the solution but its gonna be the problem prepared to be disappointed but I know im wasting my time with these copy and paste boys or reading something, writing and wording it wrong like" it limits the cpu usage" and "the cpu is limited to usage" you be killing me fam but welcome back. How the flying f*ck is the BUS a solution or even a problem? It's a fact that the BUS allows the CPU to 20 GB/s of bandwidth from the GDDR5 RAM because the CPU doesn't need to use that much bandwidth. How moronic do you need to be to think that SONY's is utilizing all 176 GB/s of the RAM to the CPU?

The unused power on the PS4 could be used for post-processing effects.
This whole spec talk is damage control now that I have seen both machines in action. There is nothing on the PS4 yet that compares to the graphical capabilities of Ryse. Until Sony shows me something that is on par with Ryse these silly spec threads are laughable.

RYSE's cutscenes look great, but it looks really bad when you start playing it. Don't believe the bullshots Crytek and Microsoft are feeding you. This is how RYSE actually looks during gameplay:

The PS4 and xbox one use a GPU from the same line and is a PC GPU,regarless of been on the same die as the CPU on an APU is the same GPU as a PC,so any advantage of one GPU vs another on PC should translate into an advantage on consoles as well.
