power of da clouds and unicorn poop will cause xbox one games to run the same as ps4. I can't believe that people actually think this is the case

I see you back from spamming the xbox forums on ign lol and no it doesnt because they would have never used gddr5 on as system ram for a weak cpu like I said be prepared for pretty games that are linear and open world games that are empty lol

Tighaman

Been  linear or not has nothing to do with openess.

All games are linear, all have a goal you most fallow in orders to advance, that is a line.

The Jaguar CPU on PS4 is the same as on te xbox one,and on PS4 latency is not an issue in fact APU benefit from having fast ram.

30 fps vs. 22 fps. 45 vs 30. There is a huge difference in specs.  Everyone knows this

Wait, what? That made no sense at all. My point was that like last gen, the differences overall will be minimal. The immaturity comes from the Cows are are posting that the PS4 games will look leaps and bounds better visually than Xbox One games. They aren't taking into consideration the entire system and how it works together, but just looking at one component. They are ignoring third party devs and actual gaming footage. That to me is immature. If the day comes the gaming footage reflects a 30 to 50% better graphics than the Xbox One, then you have a leg to stand on. But right now you just have paper, while factual, is minus the understanding of how the ram, cpu, gpu will work in tandem. And some are flat out ignoring actual game devs who have both dev kits in front of them. Again, some cows are very immature. Some.shawn30

The difference will be bigger than on 360,in fact the 360 has like 250gflops the PS4 has like 700Gflosp advantage over the xbox one,so it has the power of almost 3 xbox 360 over the xbox one,no one can come here and act like that is nothing,is enough to pull more than 20FPS advantage in some games.

The PS4 will be faster in all scenarios, and to keep pararity on speed developers most gimp the PS4 version or lower visual quality on xbox one,or drop AA or lower resolution.

Look at pc specs that are comparable and those are the framerates you get. There is a huge difference. Pretending they don't exist doesn't mean it doesn't. You shoould expect that some xbox one games will be disasters at launch compared to their ps4 counterpart. Lemmings are getting as crazy as sheep.

Is hard to actually tell but should be more than 20FPS in most games.

480Gflops difference between the 7770 vs the 7850 is enough to produce 20+ in some games,600 to 700 on the PS4 vs the xbox one should at least produce that or more.

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/549?vs=536

While the 7770 doesn't have the bandwidth of the xbox one,the xbox one doesn't have the raaw flop count of the 7770 either, because it has a 10GPU reservation for system, which bring the flop count to 1.18 or close the 7770 is 1.28 TF.

Except console games are often fps capped.  And PC benchmarks do not show real world performance benefits of consoles

Those double edge arguments so when is PC vs PS4 PC are the same as console and optimization means nothing, when is xbox one vs PS4 consoles are different from PC..

600 to 700 Gflops is enough to pull more than 20FPS,paired with faster memory and a more custom GPU and who knows how much it can be the difference.

what do those 20 fps matter if both games are capped at 30 fps?  So unless the developer is going to put in the extra effort to make the PS4 version look significantly better, there wont be a significant real world difference

This ^^ argument will bring you problems when you argue PS4 vs PC..

If you want to hide under optimization which is a valid point, mind you the PS4 is also a console so it also be optimized, trying to imply that the xbox one will be the only console with optimization is not actually a valid or ever real scenario on the console war.

Are you a noob to graphics and PC.?

There PS4 already is surpass by PC,any ame that use the PC as lead platforms, will perform better on PS4.

When both consoles get push hard they will not be able to do 60 or even 40 FPS,so capping the game at 30 may not even be require and would probably be a side effect of the PS4 and xbox one hard innability to keep up with stronger PC hardware, the problem is that the PS4 at the same quality as the xbox one should be able to keep 20 FPS ahead,so if the PS4 game is hitting 30 or even sub 30 FPS the xbox one should be on the floor on the low 12 FPS with the same quality this can't be avoided.

Is a side effect of the PS4 having more resources,so much like the 7850 fall behind the 7870 in games at the same quality because it lack the power, the xbox one will suffer the same fate there is no way to stop this, but there is a way the xbox one games can get on par at least in FPS,yeah the same way you do on PC to get more frames, either drop AA,lower the resolition,or drop image quality from high to medium.

Not 1 hermit should debate this it is common knowledge on PC.

Tighaman

The bandwidth of the RAM is shared between both the CPU and GPU. There's a custom bus between the CPU and the GDDR5 RAM that limits the CPU bandwidth usage to 20 GB/s.

You make no sense and you don't know what you're talking about.

you have no idea what you talking about you think thats bus is the solution but its gonna be the problem prepared to be disappointed but I know im wasting my time with these copy and paste boys or reading something, writing and wording it wrong like" it limits the cpu usage" and "the cpu is limited to usage" you be killing me fam but welcome back.

How the flying f*ck is the BUS a solution or even a problem? It's a fact that the BUS allows the CPU to 20 GB/s of bandwidth from the GDDR5 RAM because the CPU doesn't need to use that much bandwidth. How moronic do you need to be to think that SONY's is utilizing all 176 GB/s of the RAM to the CPU?

Go back to reading more of MisterXMedia's horsedung.

This whole spec talk is damage control now that I have seen both machines in action.  There is nothing on the PS4 yet that compares to the graphical capabilities of Ryse.  Until Sony shows me something that is on par with Ryse these silly spec threads are laughable.

kuu2

RYSE is not graphically impressive. InFamous: SS is on a whole 'nother level.

RYSE's cutscenes look great, but it looks really bad when you start playing it. Don't believe the bullshots Crytek and Microsoft are feeding you. This is how RYSE actually looks during gameplay:

The fact that you ask that show how out of argument you are.

The PS4 and xbox one use a GPU from the same line and is a PC GPU,regarless of been on the same die as the CPU on an APU is the same GPU as a PC,so any advantage of one GPU vs another on PC should translate into an advantage on consoles as well.

If the game is capped at 30FPS the PS4 version can have higher quality graphics than the xbox one, simply because it has more unuse resources,a game capped at 30FPS on xbox one, should be running on PS4 at 50 so the extra power not used for frames could be use for better AA more detail, higher image quality, think medium vs high.

And I doubt we'll see anything on the xbox ONE that tops Second Son for the entire generation.

You're forgetting that InFamous allows destructibility and interactivity with the envrionments. The envrionments on RYSE are mostly static and only ever change when it's preprogrammed to.

Ryse-screen-3.jpg

I don't need poor still shots.  I have played the game and Sony's games as well.  Keeping telling yourself that Ryse looks like that though.

I'm sorry, but that's really how RYSE looks during actualy gameplay, not 4k supersampled bullshots from an in-engine cutscene.

just because it can be does not mean it will be. that is up to the ability of the developers. So once again I ask what is the real world performance benefit we will see?

lostrib

Well that is true but any game coming from PC hould perform better by default on PS4,not to mention that i don't think developers will savotage their own games so that MS could be happy.

why are you bringing up the PC? this is about x1 vs ps4

If you would have read the whole post you would understand what I said.  If they make the game to run capped at 30fps on x1, what will be the real world difference for the ps4 since they will cap it at 30 fps as well.  Unless the developers actually take the time to add things to the PS4 version, there wouldn't be a difference in real world performance/graphics

lostrib

The fact that you ask that show how out of argument you are.

The PS4 and xbox one use a GPU from the same line and is a PC GPU,regarless of been on the same die as the CPU on an APU is the same GPU as a PC,so any advantage of one GPU vs another on PC should translate into an advantage on consoles as well.

If the game is capped at 30FPS the PS4 version can have higher quality graphics than the xbox one, simply because it has more unuse resources,a game capped at 30FPS on xbox one, should be running on PS4 at 50 so the extra power not used for frames could be use for better AA more detail, higher image quality, think medium vs high.

just because it can be does not mean it will be. that is up to the ability of the developers. So once again I ask what is the real world performance benefit we will see?

Considering that the PS4 will crush xbox ONE in sales (And all 3rd party know it) and how everyone pretty much knows the PS4 is technically superior, 3rd parties will be blasted if the PS4 version is on par with the xbox ONE version. Trust me, there will be differences.

ryse is a launch title and infamous wont come out until july atleast compare infamous to QB from remedy or something like that.

Q1 2014 is from Jan to March.

And I doubt we'll see anything on the xbox ONE that tops Second Son for the entire generation.

are you a kid? 1stQ is not jan-mar lol end of march is the begining of 1stQ  infamous does look good but its sooooooo empty never seen more than 5 npcs on the screen pop-ins everywhere even in the cut scene. Like I said ps4 weak cpu is going to struggle pretty games thats linear and empty open worlds.

1) The xbox ONE uses the same CPU as the PS4's, so you might want to retract your statement.

Yes, I think the graphical differences between the two systems will be huge

the games we've seen so far and the developers that make them seem to dissagree..

In other words, the XBOX One's GPU would need 1100 stream processors to produce a theoretical value of 1.8TFLOPS, to match the PS4 GPU's. But I don't see the point really, we all know XBOX One is inferior.

False premise, XB1 has ESRAM embedded into the GPU, while the PS4 has the GPU and CPU doing all the work. After all, how is it that Shin'en can make a game run at 1080p/60fps (it was 720p because the effects looked better at that resolution) on the inferior Wii U with one core?hiphops_savior

wtf ? you have absolutely no idea what you are even talking about... this is complete nonsense LOL  ... didnt know the eSRAM had shader processors on it, making up the 400 shader processor advantage to the PS4... eSRAM is simply a bandaid

1) So now you're trying to debate the definition of Q1 in a calendar year, am I correct?

2) So please tell me how the xbox ONE's CPU is going to be used and compare it to how the PS4's CPU is going to be used. Just admit that Microsoft screwed up massively.

3) So you didn't see all those NPCs walking in the streets?
