[QUOTE="Malta_1980"][QUOTE="jimmypsn"] Mindshare is different today than it was in 2006. Even then I didn't think 360 had a chance, but they destroyed Sony this past gen in units sales and more importantly to me PROFIT.jimmypsn
So selling equally is destroying a competitor to you?
For me destroying a competitor is for example comparing sales for the PS2 against the Xbox & Gamecube...Â
Selling equally with a system which released a year later and was always more expensive isnt really something to be happy about !!
huh. Going from 150 to 75 million for Sony isn't what I consider a good thing. They still sold 70+ million though, but they losts ten of billions of dollars and all the money they made on the PS1 and PS2 to get there. Here's something to think about. MS could've outsold Sony by more than what they are today if they took a ten billion dollar loss as well. So Unit difference would be even greater. But MS isn't a dumb company like Sony is.I took the PS2 vs other consoles of its gen as an example to show you what destryoing the competition in terms of sales means..
We all know Sony lost a huge part of its market share with the PS3 but doesnt mean MS destroyed Sony last gen... Also as a gamer I let Comapnies worry about profits while I focus on games and luckily for gamers Sony (& 3rd party devs/Publishers) always backed up their consoles with great games libraries !!
