Xbox One sales dropped below 360 in 2017

@mecha_frieza: i think the hardest part for me is that i WANT to want an xbox. I want to expand the amount of good gaming experiences i have. Unfortunately, there just doesn’t feel like there’s much i’m missing out on over at the MS camp. I feel like i’m missing out on more by not owning a nintendo system. As far as i see it, xbox should become either a budget based option or they should get some good games, maybe even a mascot. Make it feel like i’m missing out on something. As i said from a hardware perpective they got my attention, just failed to retain it with content.

According to the link I provided in another response, it has sold over 30 million. Could that be better? Of course - but it's not horrible. Also, the 360 did just fine without international acceptance. So, your argument is a wee bit weak.

Its not a flop no matter how many times you imply or explicitly make the claim. You and your fellow Sony fannies seem to spend more time talking about the system than the PS4. If its a thread about the PS4, it quickly turns into an Xbox thread. Its truly entertaining. The Xbox has you all mesmerized. Keep it up, we need entertainment that is more interactive than movies. ;)

Your statement couldn't be more wrong. Xbox One selling just $30 million isn't good at all, it's been out for 4 years, it should have been way more then that now. $50-$60 million at least should have been more then good for MS but no! Look at Nintendo Switch, Switch sold over $10 million and we haven't even gotta to Switch first 1 year later. 4 years vs almost 1 year is obviously telling something that Switch will pass Xbox One in no time.

This current-gen is almost over now. Sorry but MS lost this gen big time! MS is just gonna have to try again next-gen.

Look at the facts we have here. In 4 years Xbone has only managed to sell about 30 million (we don’t know the exact numbers because MS keeps hiding them). At this rate no way in hell will it reach 85 million like 360 did. Then we have a well respected industry anlayst saying It’s trending worse than 360. Your only response to these facts is

You feel because you love the Xbone it means it can’t be doing bad. If it was doing well like you claim why isn’t MS sharing numbers? Why do we need to to rely on guess work and analysts like ZhugeEX for sales information? Why don’t they share numbers freely like Sony and Nintendo? When you can answer these questions truthfully and logically then I’ll stop laughing you.

You do know saying it's not a flop in the face of overwhelming evidence it is doesn't make it not a flop? Because no matter how many times you repeat it isn't a flop the fact remains it's a flop. If it wasn't a flop MS would happily share its sales numbers. They've been hiding sales numbers for years now and 2016 was the last time they said it was outselling 360.

MS is just throwing shit on the wall right now and hoping it sticks. They are done this gen.

They are doing everything they can now except addressing the elephant in the room that is their lack of games. They are toast this gen, and releasing new consoles like the X and S won’t save them. Best they can do now is cut their losses and try to do better next gen. Xbone is a total failure for them. Well, at least this debunks the lie lems are always saying about Xbone outpacing 360 anytime someone mentions its poor sales.

Microsoft just needs to stop. It's embarrassing at this point. Problem with them is that they get the exact same multiplats as Sony without unique exclusives. They also just rush and put their consoles out for sale without analyzing the market. Like in China. They just threw the Xbox One there like shit on a wall, and hope it stuck; unfortunately it didn't. The Xbox 360 was their best console, and it sold the least. If I were them, I would just focus on PC and call it a day.

Of course all companies have failures: Sega Dreamcast and Saturn, Nintendo Wii U and Virtual Boy, and Sony PS3. Though Microsoft hasn't had a win yet as far as consoles. Maybe next gen will prove me wrong...

Yea, it's pretty sad to see. They just lack direction and focus in the console business. In the PC arena they are extremely focused and organized but when it comes to Xbox they are completely clueless. MS has been in the console business for almost 17 years and they still don't get it. They are still acting like amateurs that only got in 4 years ago, the shit is just baffling.

Maybe they'll finally pull their shit together next-gen but I'm not holding my breath. The launch of the X and S made me start thinking that they still don't know what they are doing. It's okay to have flops but when you keep doubling down on your mistakes instead of actually getting to the root and fixing the problem it becomes baffling.

Firstly, your link can’t confirm shit because MS doesn’t provide official numbers so it’s worthless.

Second, you’re falsely claiming the 360 has no international acceptance which is a flat out lie. 360 was selling well in Europe, a market that Xbone completely lost this gen when they decided to do their Tier1, Tier2, TV, NFL, DRM marketing strategy that alienated a lot of Europe.

The only place 360 wasn’t doing well was Japan. Xbone is doing so badly now that it only does okay in US and UK now while 360 was selling well in Germany,France, Spain, etc. last gen. Go look at European charts in GAF/Resetera if you think I’m lying.
