No they are not

PS4 has faster ram, better GPU and is overall beefier

AND costs 100$ less

AND has exclusives that do not 100% go to PC, like all xbox exclusives do

It is the clear choice by miles

In the end, i will probably get both for some exclusives, probably Fable 4 for xbox one

The really useless thing is PC, that does not have any exclusives that require a gaming PC

There are so many incorrect statements in that article.

 

You can't just simply add up the potential bandwidth of the ESRAM and DDR3 and call it a day. That's not how it works. And the GPU clock increase still doesn't bring it anywhere near the speed of the PS4's GPU. The 853Mhz clock speed only brought it up to 1.27 TFLOPS (vs PS4's 1.84). That's only a 6.6% increase. The PS4 still has 50% more raw shading power and twice as many ROPs, resulting in twice the fillrate performance. PS4 is also more capable when it comes with asynchronous compute with a total of 64 async compute sources. And let's not forget the dedicated units.

Im all about the PS4 at this point. If the games run as well on console as the demos that I have seen then I might have to favor Xbox for performance. Spec wise it doesnt make since but maybe that cloud thing afterall does help with performance. PS4 from what I see and hear has extremely poor frame rates. So far Ryse/Quantum Break/Forza 5 and several others seem to run better than games like Killzone 4. Dont get me wrong I purchased Killzone 4/Driveclub but they dont look like they will handle very well. Although if Microsoft delivers an Xbone without Kinect then Im in. I hope Sony can work on those frame rates because as it stands 30 fps is not next gen performance and I can tell the difference so please Sony show us something impressive. RimacBugatti

Ryse did had frames issues,Forza has baked effecs,and quantum break was a damn faked CG..

Infamous look better than all the games you mention and is open world,compare it to Dead Rising 3 which is open world to and that run as low as 15 FPS.

The whole comment about 30FPS not been next gen is stupid,what is not next gen is games like Tittanfall that was demo without physics on,animation,or effects,yeah that way any game can hit 60 FPS.

 

Not only that, John Carmack said they were virtually identical, that it was amazing how close they were to one another.  He knows, he is a virtual god.  End of discussion.

Great article TC. This confirms what I have been saying all along about not counting out how the X1 is "screwed" together. I don't see a lot of the normal cows posting a response because their dreams have been shattered. It also confirms another article stating that the "weaker console" is "more powerful". FoxbatAlpha

A headset is included with every PS4. Btw. you forgot the AAA batteries you'll need for the XBone controllers, they'll come with every XBOX as well (lol). Have fun paying some extra money for batteries. Also PS4 has no ugly powerbrick included. Replaceable HDD on the XBOX side? No of course not. Also let's not forget: XBOX Gold 60$, PS+ 50$ and you know (of course you don't) PS+ has "a liiiittle" bit more value than XBL.

Don't forget the XBone stickers, dude! That adds at least 50$ of value.
