Poll Xbox One Vs WiiU, which failed harder? (100 votes)

Xbox One 25%
WiiU 75%

So, we have to big failures.

Wii U had some good exclusives, like Zelda and Mario, but abysmally low sales, xone on the other hand have no exclusives and live on third party support, giving no real reason to anyone buy a xone, since you can play everything that is on it on PC.

So, which one is the bigger failure?

@drummerdave9099: Shifting goalposts is pretending competition doesn’t exist. The Wii U had some gems that couldn’t be played anywhere else. Xbone doesn’t. Wii U is a bigger failure sales wise, but Xbone is useless which for a gamer should be worse.

WiiU actually had some great games, but you can now get those on the Switch, so...

@sealionact: Better than it did. It should perform as well as the PS4 is hardware equates to quality.

You do know Nintendo even knew it was a failure and took it off the market right? Nintendo is releasing all of those exclusives on the Switch so the Wii U is really failure in that regard also. Those games can be played else where and thank god for that. The WiiU is one of the only systems I ever regretted purchasing.

Xbox One failed harder because it has no games.

You seem to have a bias against the Xbox that affects your stance. Might want to work on that- it helps with these types of discussions.

Wow. The Xbox CANNOT be a bigger failure if its still relevant, has the second largest install base and the WiiU is discontinued. Those are the facts. Learn to deal with it.

No one is disputing the Wii U being a bigger failure sales wise. Some are just pointing out the fact that the Wii U had better exclusives. Breaking it down:

Xbox One - Better sales and multi-plats

Wii U - Better exclusives

For those who already owned a gaming PC or PS4, the Wii U was the better secondary console. But for those who didn't own a gaming PC or PS4, the Xbox One was a better primary console than the Wii U.

It was simply a bigger failure regardless of exclusives. Exclusives doesn't make it less of a failure. Gamers as a whole decided that the system did not offer enough to meet their gaming consumption. So, even if we fall back on games it offered the weakest library of games than the Xbox One by a large margin. I don't know why we a trying to spin reality here.

@Pedro:

According to your logic, the best games are simply the best-selling games. No need for reviews, ratings or awards... Better sales =/= Better quality

The X1 did indeed have the better overall library, simply because of its multi-plats. But for those who already owned a PS4 or gaming PC, that didn't mean anything, since the X1 just had inferior versions of games better played elsewhere, whereas the Wii U had better exclusives you couldn't play elsewhere. For PS4 & PC gamers (and of course Nintendo fans), the Wii U offered more value than the X1 (until the Switch came along).

You are trying to spin things again. We are talking about hardware/platforms whatever wording that fits. The WiiU failed and was a failure. The Xbox One wasn't. Its that simple. All the other factors you and some others are bringing into the mix is irrelevant to this reality. This isn't a debate of what you or anyone likes better or which one had better games but which system failed.

Both of them except Wii U has more games
