Dunno, but I'm sure Tom Mcshea has something to do with it. And why would you need PS3 owners to tell you something related to Gamespot?
Reason I asked for PS3 owners was I wasn't sure if there was a shipping problem or what. I figured being a PS3 owner they would keep up on PS3 game issues and news.wolfbm
Apparently Bethesda was only shipping out 360 review copies. And on a side note:
What the hell?

Wait so is the 360 version actually cloth and the PS3 version paper?
I own all the systems so don't flame me a fanboy, but I have Skyrim for the 360. What I want to know is, can anyone tell me why 5 days after release Skyrim for the PS3 still doesn't have a rating on GS?wolfbmBecause Gamespot only got the Xbox copy of the game pre launch, so they could only review that one. Once they have played the PS3 version to teir satisfaction, they will review and score it as well. The final review and score is likely to be the same as the Xbox version's though. Some conspiracy theories on this forum are flat out, well, dumb.

I have buy the PS3 Version (PAL)and it have the cloth map version inside.
we opened up our preordered copy in the parking lot looking for that "cloth map" and found this glorified construction paper one!! ... just don't like how they say you get one thing and then on launch they say,"well when we said cloth we actually meant cardboard that looks similar to burlap"wolfbm
Bethesda didn't go back on their word; they never promised a cloth map, instead describing it as "a high-grade material that has a feel similar to burlap" in a blog post in June. The map was widely misreported as being actual cloth despite Bethesda's clarification.
GS is waiting for Bethesda to patch the 360 version and get rid of that awful texture problem so they can say the versions are identicalKevinButlerVP
They're already identical. You just need to play the game from the disc. Come on Kevin.
It must be cow season with all these ps3 fanboys creaming themselves. Allow me to be the bearer or bad news for your crappy system. ..
http://www.lensoftruth.com/does-the-ps3-version-of-skyrim-also-have-texture-streaming-issues/ (pics included)
Now it seems the same texture streaming issue may be present in the PS3 version. A few complaints have popped up on the Bethesda forums regarding the issue. The original poster, Ulyaoth, was informative enough to upload a few screens capturing the problem. There are a few more pics over on the Bethesda forums so be sure to head over and check them out. The topic has also appeared on the IGN boards. We know a lot of our users here are playing Skyrim (probably as we type), and we would like to know if anyone playing the PS3 version has seen this bug. As Bethesda stated Friday, they are hard at work on a fix for the installed 360 version of Skyrim. If this is an actual issue on the PS3, and not just a rare case, we would bet all of our coins a patch will be in the works ASAP. Skyrim is a one of a kind game and incredible experience that deserves to look the absolute best it can… all of the time.
http://www.lensoftruth.com/head2head-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-screenshot-comparison/
... And to add to that, the ps3 version is also uglier. So same streaming issues except xbox owners have the OPTION of installing the game and suffering the streaming bug whereas ps3 owners have to install it, uglier game overall, and a crap controller. I rest my case.
I'll answer your question,
Bethesda sent out review copies only for the 360 because they have an ad deal with Microsoft as well as having the 360 as the lead platform..
The cloth maps are included in both versions however you have to have preordered it from a retailer who has them in stock
It got 8.5ed :o but GS is in $$$$ talks right now with Sony to see what a 9.0 would be worth to them.
I kid, I kid but then again just in case....
Don't let the Dawgs out !! :P
Actually the 360 version takes a dump on the PS3 version. Not only was I lucky enough to play both versions (Thank you Redbox), I played them both on the same TV. As long as you do not install the 360 version, it is vastly superior. The PS3 has a lot of texture pop-in and the frame rate is borderline stupid in places where you would think there would not be any.

I have the North American PS3 version and I also received the cloth map. Then you're either very lucky or you havnt played the game much yet, i had barely any issues till about 20 hours in then the game went to hell, constant framerate issues even in some tiny buildings. And yes i'm talking about the PS3 version (i've a 350gig Slim PS3).
Oh and just to chime in on the map thing, i also got the "cloth" map with my PAL PS3 version.
The texture problem only happens when you install the game on the HDD. If you play it off the dvd, then it's pretty much on equal footing with the PS3 version. They'd have to rank it higher than the texture travesty that is the 360 version, and rather than do that, they ignore it.

And just because someone else had a texture pop-in issue doesn't automatically mean I have or will, cause I haven't. what i want to know is what the hell kind of paper is the 360 map made out of?it's like some freaky neo parchment made from plastic or something. i swear you could make a hammock out of it and sleep in it.
as far as the topic goes you can't just copy paste reviews between versions anymore since they are different from each other and rather than get it wrong they just don't review one version.

I think you should visit the other Skyrim thread and look at the screen shot comparisons. Then maybe you will understand. It is easier to accept the truth then worry about loyalty to a game system.[QUOTE="sts106mat"][QUOTE="AtariKidX"]where did you read that? i have no screen tearing on my 360 version. Switch console names much ? We all know the top pic is really the PS3 version and the bottom pic is the 360 version......i've seen these pics on other sites, but your a 360 fanboy so you obviously switched the names so the 360 would be the clearer PS3 screenshot....nice try though.Slimmin360
Maybe you should check the source of these pictures before you make yourself look even more stupid !

It is funny.......but i have the PS3 version and it looks like the XBOX photo. The game on the PS3 it is very sharp and clear. Before i start the game on the PS3 it was a update 2.0 "50MB"for the Skyrim.....maybe is that the reason...??I don't know.If you followed the Skyrim thread on Neogaf you would already know the PS3 problems before the LOT and DF comparisons because of a ton of angry PS3 Skyrim owner impressions there .
I like how the Cows here jumped the gun again and ridiculed the 360 version for the texture problem the PS3 also seems to have and more .
