Xbox report. 1 Billion hours spent playing old games.

Perfectly happy with my X1X. It gives me the best version of console multiplats, you know, the most games of any library by a humungous percentage. If I wanted to play those few console exclusives then I have that option. Sadly cow, you don't. Ample amounts cow....

But you failed to say that console multiplats are generally on PC as well. I understand that you stand up for the xbox one x which is a waste now if you have a powerful PC. I have a PS4 Pro, Switch, and PC and the One is now the outsider to the group now. It isn't the best at anything anymore.

Sales being up is always a positive I guess. I own stock in the corporation, not the division so I don't really care. Its funny that "old games" are so teh bad in Cows eyes. Now we all know the issues with Xbox and new games (albeit their second new game of 2018 comes out in 2 weeks) but the PS store has PS2 games for sale.

Then it wouldn't be, you know, a console multiplat. If it was on PC as well then I'd just say multiplat. I could have used console exclusive but what I said works as well.

1st I've always had a powerful PC. Been PC gaming since the early 90s. 2nd I find the positives in all platforms and that includes the X1. Just because YOU think it's a waste doesn't mean you speak for everyone. Plenty of games I can play on it that I can't on the PS4. There are games that I prefer playing on a console than I do on the PC and visa versa. It's called having options . Something cows seem to hate having.

You are correct...I do not speak for everyone. But the sales speak with what I said as it is in dead last place by a far margin.

Correction, it is behind the PS4 by a wide margin but not the Switch, not that it really matters. So what if it's in last. Does that prevent people from having fun playing games on it? Does having the best sales of the gen give YOU great pleasure? It has no shortage of games and I couldn't care less if it comes out with games that are shared with the PC.

Funny how cows seem to think sales == fun. I don't work for Sony, MS or Nintendo nor do I own stocks so I get zero benefit from which ever company sells the most.

Yeah, Metacritic is such a random thing... Do you listen to yourself sometimes? Can you at least contemplate the possibility that your position is hurting the console you like so much? Right now, the XBox is selling just above generation 6 numbers in sell-through and that is after three complete redesigns including changes in specs and game performance.

No...but whatever is selling is definitely speaking to their audience and is bringing in the most fun and that is the reason it is selling more.

Once again just because it's selling the most doesn't mean it's the most fun console. I have a PS4 and it hasn't been touched in months. It has the most sales but I'd argue it isn't the most fun right now.

BTW fun is subjective. It's not always going to be same for everyone.

I know this forum is named System Wars but video games are entertainment and entertainment is completely subjective. So for some individuals the amount of games MC rates high on PS4 means diddly shit. I don't want to play them regardless of their rating. I dont own FH3 and its X1 highest rated game. I don't care for racers all that much.

Appreciated dude. I generally enjoy your posts. Aside from the teasing ones that we are all guilty of on SW, your input is pretty thought provoking. I got this thread confused with another in which I replied much like Kingtito did in regards to Metacritic. When they pay for my games I'll give a shit what they say is entertaining. Moonlight won Best Picture a couple of years ago. Its very good film but It wasn't the best film I saw that year. I never have my film buff friends argue these things though. Only in this entertainment medium it seems do people not understand its subjective to tastes. I don't see my friends that are into Hip Hop arguing with country music fans. Gamers are the double edged sword of this art form.

I had a friend in the Army, he was born in Brazil and hated Hollywood movies. He only liked foreign or independent films. Personally I like films. Some of any genre can entertain me. Nobody argued with either of us that Fast and Furious or Avengers were the best films because they sold the most tickets or got majority great reviews.

Many of my friends that are in their 30s like Hip Hop. Personally, I like a few songs, have some classics from the Wu Tang, Cypress Hill that I love but its not something I listen to often. I have a couple of friends from the Army that love Country Western music. None of us argue which is "core music" or best music. We understand your toe taps to what it taps to.

Games. For some reason there are people that swear that if a majority of critics rate something high it must be a fact and God himself deemed it so. No. A fact is: submerge your head in water and take breath in and the drowning process will begin. Humans cannot process Oxygen from liquid.

More people saw The Jungle Book and Batman vs Superman in 2016 but Moonlight won best picture. I enjoyed other films as much and a few more. Am I "dead wrong" for it? Maybe my social circle is shrinking but only in gamers do I see this unwillingness to accept what Shakespeare wrote hundreds of years ago: "good and bad don't exist. Thought makes one believe it".
