Xbox Series X bests PS5 Tempest Audio

Ummm emotion engine? What about the Cell? 1.8TF PS4? WTF are you going on about. Every gen starts out about power unless its your console of choice that doesn't have it.

I find it hilarious cows all of a sudden don't care about audio after bragging about it last week. Kind of reminds me about the whole most powerful console ever created jazz then not caring after it's no longer the most powerful console.

you never heard of it before because its new. funny thing that every one is ignoring the tempest supports all sound sources including dolby. what do you think the ps5 will not have sound for the movies or games that use dolby?

the tempest supports all the sound sources that series x has plus 3d sound.

you do know the tempest chip supports all sound sources as well as dolby.

you think the ps5 will go silent if the movie or game supports dolby only?

third party does not need to use the 3d sound. they can use what ever they want to use.

thats the point of the tempest. it supports many sound software. not just one.

@gifford38: lol....its not new. Sound blaster cards were doing spatial 3d sound 30 years ago, and you can find binaural audio on YouTube if you want to know what to expect, as it's been there for years.

Sony have picked an unnecessarily convoluted sound solution, and no...it doesn't support Dolby Atmos which x1x does and xsx will. Heck, they aren't even sure how they're going to make it work, and are speaking about ironing it out over years...m

3d sound is not new but there software there using is new. i know its not going to be what they vision day one. fact is even with the hrtf they give you at launch is going to sound just as good as dolby.

i better start cleaning my ears every day to get ready to send a pic of my ear lol.

it is funny that we have to send pics of our ears but if it gets it to sound better than the 3d sound found on the psvr then im in. i love the sound coming out of the psvr. heck sometimes i take the head set off just to see if the sound came from the game or in real life lol.

You bragged about the Cell before it even launched. You bragged about Cell when it didn't have any games.

Power was never the forefront of why we buy our games. Trailers of games from both sides were out. both sides were also hyping their exclusives so i don't get your point.

That's not the point. You said Sony and cows have never been about power. I pointed out that's false. Sony and cows have been all about power until they don't have it anymore. It's not about why you buy games.

Well can you really blame lems at this point. Lost sales war by a humongous amount and the games haven't been doing all that great with a few getting canceled. Pretty much power is the only argument until the next consoles release.

When a game isn't finished the game isn't finished and Halo didn't looked finished. People are going to change a lot of MS will do but they can influence some things Halo being a changing a few things prior to the launch of the X1 being a perfect example.
