Xbox Series X UI is 1080p, SDR

It doesn't matter this is 2020 WHY THE HELL is the background UI in 1080p? WERE IN A 4k world right now why the hell would i want to look at UI in 1080p? What is microsoft even thinking games are in 4k why the hell can the ui in 4k?

I wonder at what point gamers with large digital libraries could stress these system UI or OS when say browsing their owned games, and you have some people with hundreds or thousands of digital games it has to on grab image files for to put up on navigating people's libraries, is there a point the system can't take too many, and is this tested for? I mean I remember when they discovered one of the Tetris games on PS4 would crash because they never tested it in an environment where someone has a gazillion friends on their friends list.

People also thought I was crazy for spending $3000 on a MBP just for facebook, spreadsheets and school papers/notes. But it was the first and only 3K/1600p IPS laptop on the market. Sharp text, icons, gui etc is satisfying.

I actually expected the XSX to have an 8K UI, which would have been amazing, but not too surprising.

I think this is the result of MS using the xbox one UI just modify, is not something new the xbox one X also has the same problem.

If MS by any chance gave that memory to games,i dont think you will get 4k ever, once the games have the memory for them selves you cant take it back.

They can how ever try to reduce the OS footprint and use the extra memory to see if they can reach 4k, this is the reason the PS3 never got party chat, games already has the memory so it could not be take.

I honestly feel bad for the people who think a ui dashboard resolution means something. I though controller batteries was a waste of time... Holy s*** I can't imagine arguing about ui resolution.

System Wars related, the Xbox One must be to blame here. They are sharing the same UI, so the way it’s coded and resources are allocated is the same across all platforms. More evidence of this is the fact that the PS4 Pro UI is 4K while the One X is 1080p.

It takes 2 seconds to upgrade a UI to 4k it doesn't take any resources this all on microsoft for not doing this.

Upgrade your text so its in 4k upgrade your images to 4k. It takes seconds why isn't it done yet? This UI is not ready for prime time its a last gen ui for old xb1 vcr and shit.

One thing I know for sure these people claiming ownage for the UI will hide or cry when DF comparisons start to roll out.

How long did Cows spend prior to yesterday, telling us how much they didnt care about Sony waiting so long to demonstrate PS5's UI because "its a UI, who cares" "you spend the least amount of time in there" "its all about the gamez mannnnn.......".

Now, a UI is so important to them, they would prefer an additional 1GB of ram be allocated to it instead of to games. Remember, just a week ago, Cows told you they didnt care about a UI. Life comes at you fast.

I'd like it be 4k if doesn't take up much SSD space sure. But its not a defining factor in the purchase by any means.

Whats LOL is the fact you are making something which you see for about 5 seconds while you find the game to play so important.

Not a single person will buy or not buy a console because the UI is not 4k. Its a nicety that they should have and still could have. But if it didn't besides claiming a victory in this forum its means nothing.
