Whether this is true or not it would be

Looking forward to the meltdowns when Xbone loses March NPD. Dumb lems don’t know he’s talking about revenue and growth and not actual units sold.
Huh but these numbers shows the PS4 sold more...
Yeah I was wondering about that............
No need to wonder.
This is only through the 1st 2 NPD's . March is not included yet.
I'll be surprised if ms wins another NPD this year sony have some big hitters to come starting with God of war.
@quadknight: I mean, he seems to contradict that assertion (by implying that it's also units) in his comments in the thread, but he's also being super evasive and snippy, and sounds a bit fanboyish in his replies, so it's hard to tell what are facts, "glass half full", or just being coy. I just don't see how his implication that it's units could be true

Haha, what a comment from him.
This guys full of shit how can xbox be winning if it ost the past 3 npd's to sony it wasn't 2nd it was in last
@xantufrog: its his typical style of posting. I post on Resetera as well and he usually posts in that style.
I think he’s being coy as usual but I don’t think he means Xbox is the top selling console in 2018, he’s probably talking about revenue or some other growth like he usually does. There’s no way XB1 can be the top selling console when it lost the the last 2 months to the PS4 anyway. Unless he’s trying to say Xbox had an extraordinary March where it was able to make up all the months it lost in a single month. Not impossible but quite unlikely.
Once the first official price cut on the X1X takes place it should start moving lots of units.
Unless it's a $200+ price cut it won't. Next gen consoles will probably launch at the end of 2019. No one is going to spend big money on a system already on the way out.

You fools believe that rumor. No they are not and certainly not for $400 for those specs. I don't see Sony taking a massive loss on each unit.

Before PS4 launched people were predicting it would be $600+.

This current gen used weak hardware compare to the last gen.
So, the Xbox One is generating more revenue than the PS4 despite it being a "flop"?
*SIGH* Revenue is not profit. If I made packs of pencils that cost 50 cents to produce and I sold for a dollar, and you made a pack of pencils that you sold for 3 dollars at cost, you could make more revenue than me due to the higher price even if you're selling fewer pencils. But, I would make money because you're only covering the overhead on materials.
In Microsoft's case, imagine their pencils are being sold at a loss to play catch-up to Sony's pencils. Revenue is kind of a useless metric if no profit is made.

*SIGH* no where in my post did I mention profit. You don't know how much profit is being generated from its revenue and revenue is not a "kind of useless metric".

He's snippy because other people are snippy because they already know PS4 is #1 in units for the year and they are still trying to correct him. He doesn't need correcting. That info is already established. They know it. He knows it. He just didn't say revenue or dollar sales this time for whatever reason specifically.
