Xbox360 and Ps3! Y 360 is superior(HEAR ME OUT)

OK i am going to be as Thorough as i can be! and tell everyone why the xbox360 is a better choice when it comes to price games and features! Reason being? i get on the forums and i see a lot of anti ps3 or anti 360 threads and a lot of those threads dont give all the facts so i will try my best to give the FACTS!(In breif) wont detail everything out!

WHAT DO GET FOR YOUR MONEY?

Playstation 3

1.Price $399(80gb),$499(160gb)

System,1 dualshock and standard cables or uncharted in the 160gb bundle+ a voucher for a psn title

Here's the problem with the price and NO i am not referring to it being to high, Yes i do believe the price needs to be dropped but what can you do it's a big hard drive and a blu-ray player with wireless! I am referring to the fact that ps3's dont come bundled with Headsets or a Hd capable cable(360's come with component as standard and HDMI with the ELITE)

Now when u spend $400 u are still lacking the proper online experience and the proper display, now a headset isnt mandatory but it's something that should be when sony boasts there free Online, HDMI should also be mandatory because as a blu-ray player an hdmi is required for the full experience! as well as for gaming!

Final Word on Price! i dont believe the ps3 price tag is too high i believe it is too high for what's in the box 360 is much cheaper and offers more!

GAMES!!!!!!!

Games are all that matter, if you dont have enough games, you can't justify purchase usually. Ps3 has some amazing titles, whether is be a unique ip or a genre defining title ps3 has it. So u say how can that not be enough? well it's simple. Most games only attracted a specific audience!

1.Metal Gear Solid 4(One of the greatest game experiences of all time) I LOVED it!! But when it comes down to it! it's a single player experience with WAYYY toooo many cutscenes!

2.Little Big Planet(A unique game, i enjoyed it a lot, but unles you are willing to dedicate hours to build something worth noticing, this game will become boring really fast!)

3.Resistance 1 and 2(Now First Person Shooters when they are good always sell problem with resistance 1? it was a launch title and even though i had 42000Kills on it not many people played it hence the poor sales for Resistance 2 which was out shined by gears of War 2 in everyway possible!)

4.Single Player Exclusives(Now here is where i feel the ps3 really hurt it's chances. I beat heaveny sword in 4 1/2 hours...*sigh* ratchet and clank was awesome but i beat it and that was that! Uncharted really fun, i got the platinum and that was all Lair Failed etc.

5.Multi-Plats-ALmost every single multi plat released on ps3 and 360 sold better! almost every1! Devil May Cry 4 is the only game that comes 2 mind right now that sold better on ps3 and big name titles like GTA4 and COD4 and Fallout 3 all sold better on 360 by FAR!

6.Killzone 2 I put this at number 6 because it hasnt been released to the community YET! The demo was alright but the controls are hampering this game people just dont realize that COD4 controls are perfection. This game i feel will be all hype! will the multiplayer be good enough we'll have to find out i put 70000kills in cod4 on ps3 so i will have to make judgement for Killzone 2! it's is amazing graphically but with no co-op and a multiplayer that rite now can go either way! we will have to see!

7.Future ps3 releases Uncharted 2 Infamous God of war 3- all in the future so i cant say but they all look awesome! i definitely will be picking up God of War 3

FEATURES

Now ps3 has a lot of features and for me i enjoy them but i am into media related stuff! I love blu-ray and it'll never get old watching a movie in Full 1080p High Definition but it is beyond me as i bought the ps3 at launch how it didnt have in game access period? i know it's here now but it's things like these that had a lot of ps3 fans switch to 360, Now be honest here who uses divix? who wants divix support features every 2 updates? See Most of sony's updates deal with making the system a better media device, There are very few updates that really focused on the system as a game console! their late additions,lacluster online is what is really hampering the system ike the trophy support? they had a year to see what microsoft did with achievements? yet they only added the update in June 2008?

FINAL WORD

I recommend buying a ps3 if u are into movies and are willing to shell out the close to $600 it will cost you for the Full experience and If you LOVE little big planet because mgs4 just wont cut it unless u wanna beat it 40times, Resistance 2 Flopped i went from 42000kills in Resistance 1 to 25 in R2! Multi Plat titles get more support and Xbox live is superior(will explain exactly how next)

WHAT DO U GET FOR YOUR MONEY?

i dont see anyone buying the arcade edition but it is cheap although no hard drive headset of hd capable cable! the 60gb and 120gb all come with headsets and component(60gb and hdmi(120gb) plus 2 games(the games do suck but are still a welcome addition) + Both 60 and 120gb systems are backwards compatible!(which i dont care for but a lot of people on ps3 do) All systems come with 1 controller rumble enabled! However, No wireless is included!

Final Word on the price! The price is perfect before i would have said maybe it is a bit rough but it's perfect the 60gb hdd is a well put together model and you dont have to buy anything except xbox live when u get it. Most people dont use wireless. Wired is used 5-1 in comparison to wireless! I have so many friends on ps3 that switched to wired because it is a much better connection!

Xbox Live Gold $50 a Year- Is it worth it? Of course it is...ps3 fans always say xbox live sucks because you have to pay but they had to go out and buy a headset and an hdmi cable which cost them either $50 or more dollars so there is no argument here in terms of pricing when it comes 2 saying the ps3 winds up being cheaper! NO! Anyways With xbox live you get what you pay for, Every game is set up for live and runs smoother Game invites, Party chat for up to 8players, private chat, NETFLIX(which BTW IMO, when added, automatically made 360 way better regardless) a better arcade choice from the market place! A sleek display, Great user to user features like viewing friends lists comparing games and minimal load times when viewing achievements compared to the trophies! The in game access is smooth!...When playing little big planet and i access xmb in game LOAD TIMES ARE THERE FOREVER! live is just set up better! any1 who has live knows what i am talking about! definitely worth it!

5.Left 4 Dead

6.Bioshock(I know it isnt exclusive anymore but it was a driving force for the 360 when launched)

7.JRPG's Lost odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, Star Ocean, The last Remnant

8. DLC Things like the lost and damned for GTA and fallout dlc are big additions!

9. Multi Plats! They sell way better on 360! PERIOD! GTA 4 outsold 2 to 1 cod4 3 to 1 etc etc!

Features

The features speak for themselves through Xbox live Plus the ability to play music in game and the fact that is is still a good dvd player! i dont use it for that but i have in the past! Of course the ps3's blu-ray is superior! For the Gaming experience 360 is the way to go! there r more players online! Better service! less Lag!

Final Word

For the money the ps3 is asking you to spend you could spend that money on a 360 and have the complete package! with Games! the price cant be beat and Great games at great prices! Heck you can even play 50cent blood on the sand with the man himself! Now i wont be playing that game but that's an example of dev support/game support

Final Word for PS360

Look at it this way! When you turn on your ps3 u play games but you're More isolated on 360 you're here you can private chat party chat with 7 other friends! you arent limited to just playing your game or watching a video or listening to music by yourself you can do this with your friends and i think that that is a special feeling when looking at the way gaming is today Being more involved with your friends all having a custom street fighter 4 tournament on 360 i had 7 other people with me in a party and we all played street fighter 4! 4 rooms 8people and we eliminated each other it was a lot of fun, things like that are what puts the 360 over the top! When choosing a console make sure you choose a system that will give you the most enjoyment! 360 is the all around entertainment package! gaming movies(netflix) and community

everyone knows the 360 is the one to have this gen i appreciate what the ps3 tried to do, and i WAS a ps2 man last gen

the 360 has a way better interface, way better online its all integrated so nicely (its like a mac ;) ) the controller is the best ever IMO

the multiplats are like 9 times out of 10 superior on the 360, and besides MGS4 which is one of my fav games of all time - the ps3 does not have a lot on the 360 in terms of exclusives. It's generally the lead platform, it's getting all the DLC - trophies suck compared to achievements - It is the better gaming experience, and it's cheaper.

it's a machine people its a computer, who cares what the label on the front says - im nostalgic for my early ps1/ps2 days too but it is time to move on

theres so many little things i would miss if i switched over to a ps3

it was already better before, not to mention all the new stuff the NXE brought us

gawd man the silver account alone just the freebies you get with xbox is what im there for

i spend so much of my time on there watching videos and download demos of which they have for every single game - of which take like 3 minutes to download for a 1.5 gigabye file

I logged on XBL earlier today and it was nice to see how well XBL is connected to entertainment and anything relevant in the world. They had something for the Oscars and during the election they had something for that too, if it's relevant, most likely you'll find it on XBL. It's the IT thing and it showcases whatever the IT thing is.one_on_one

yeah i pop on every day, check out whats new on the market, all those nice big full res spotlight things about whats new - stream some live content watch an inside xbox episode etc. etc. sign onto msn put a few things in the background queue to download whilst i play the highly superior version of the orange boxxx

The more threads like this one are created the more i realise all systems have much to offer in different ways... but surely all systems have lots of great games (exclusives) which make them worth getting..

That's why i think this kind of thread should in fact be locked. It looks more like a blog post than anything. It's sole purpose is to express an opinion, while it doesn't stimulate a constructive debate, and it definitely doesn't bring new ideas to the table.

the marketplace experience alone is amazing how fast it is etc. takes 7 minutes to download a gigabyte demo takes like 4 hours on ps3

system are split into offline and online right - clearly they both play the games online (even though the 360 does it without manditory installs) so they tie on that front, so now you look at online; and xbox live is in a league of its own ---- what does the ps3 do better?

You seem like one of those guys who gets on forums or whatever and think they are better than everyone, and can't be wrong. But that is not important. I can agree with most of your points there. Some of those things you mention though are personal preferance. 1 being the controller comment, 2 being most of the online statements.

See, I think the ps3/2/1 controller is great, I don't really care for the 360 controller, but it is not a bad controller. Also, being so used to the ps controller ****makes the transition a little confusing at times, especially when playing Madden. Damn x reciever. People can go on for days argueing what controller is better, but it is the preference of the people who use them. Obviously the Playstation controller is not to bad if it hasn't been changed since the ps1 days. My only complaint with the ps3 controllers I have is the they are to light, haven't upgraded to a ds3 yet.

I like how you said something about having used the ps1/2 controller for a while now or something like that. I am pretty sure a lot of us have. Hell, if you have played a SNES controller you have pretty much played a ps3/2/1 and xbox 360 controller. xbox even took the same letter layout. So the SNES controller is the best controller ever!!!

Having used both online services, to me they are pretty equal, live gets an edge becuase it doesn't take forever for something to download.

Mainly I wanted to call you out on that. I do agree with some things you said, even though I don't think that I am getting the donkey end of the stick for being a ps3 owner, or the 360 is the ps2 of this gen. Also I don't think I am better than you or feel like I can never be wrong. I am wrong all the time.

everybody knows the ps3 has been an utter failure SO FAR this gen - this year is looking VERY promising but come on it's not even close

No everyone does not know. Earlier in this thread you mocked people with "brand loyaility" but your blind lemming zealotry is so blazing its embarassing. I enjoy the PS3s exclusives over the 360. The online is free and does exactly what I need it to do (play games). I play Resistance 2 online daily and I have never once lagged even in the 60 player games. Crappy controller is also another opinion, I have been using the PS controller since fifth grade and it feels like an extension of myself.

I just find it funny how earlier you attempted to pretend to be non biased but you have came out to be one of the biggest fanboys in this thread.

For me* the PS3 is miles ahead of the 360. I enjoy the exclusives more (yes this is not 2006 it does have many great exclusives worth purchasing the system for) and I have more friends who play the PS3.
