Xbox360 Cant handle Cross Platform Play.. WTF

Bu..bu...But i thought All mality platsz are always better on xbox.. what went wrong ? why cant i play on my xbox against PS3 users or PC users with counter strike? take that crap kinect games and give me my cross play ****Soft

Yeah, have fun getting dominated by PC players PS3 owners. The Counter-Strike fanbase is one that does NOT f**k around.

Last time they tried that with Shadowrun, 360 players got absolutely destroyed by PC users. Same is going to happen to PS3 players with Counter Strike. :)tagyhag

I'm pretty sure Valve said they're enabling KB/M usage on the PS3.

So at least they have a 0.01% fighting chance.

I don't see why they couldn't put Cross Platform play on it. I mean There's ShadowRun.

I am looking forward to this game, cant wait to make PC gamers cry when i destory them from my PS3 :D ( i'll try using both the controller and the keyboard/Mouse)

When comparable services off the same online game for free, it kind of looks bad on the 360 part. Steam CS online : free PSN CS online: Free Xbox CS online: not free That is the only reason I think 360 won't do cross platform. Diviniuz

The founder of Voodoo PC, Rahul Sood, says that Microsoft once floated the idea of implementing cross-platform play between the PC and Xbox 360 for a range of titles. Thing is, testing didn't go so well.

The proposal, part of Microsoft's LIVE push, popped up "many many months ago", and would have allowed people playing games available on both PC and 360 - like Gears of War - to take each other on. Kind of like 2007 shooter Shadowrun, only people would actually play it.

Problems quickly arose in testing, however, when Microsoft found that even the best console gamers simply couldn't compete with the accuracy a mouse and keyboard afforded a PC player. "The console players got destroyed every time", Sood says. "So much so that it would be embarrassing to the XBOX team in general had Microsoft launched this initiative."

I played CS before so i know the maps and i know its secrets and how to play :cool: plus i can also use KB/M. dont get too excited you PC peasant ( hey you made me say that :P )

I sure will, wonder if its even coming out this year because its been on beta for so long and not even a hint for a release date yet, heck even if i'll get destoryed by PC gamers i'll still record and show to ppl.

The Dual Shock 3 is a much more accurate controller than the 360 pad.

That's why I like CS. It actually has a learning curve that takes ages to master. I can't wait for the day one flood of, "WHY NO AUTO AIM!? WHERE MAH ADS?! DIS SUXX COD WAY BETTR."

I believe ladder/competitive play will be skilled based.

So what will happen is that console gamers will end up playing other console gamers and sucky PC gamers. Good PC gamers will be playing good Pc gamers, and the occasional PS3 user with a mouse and keyboard.

Eh, I wouldn't say ages. You can generally master the game in about 10-15 hours if you can aim properly and practice. Playing gun game and deathmatch tends to help practice. SilverChimera

I disagree. 10-15 hours would just be learning the game. To master it, I'd say at least 100 hours and that's a low estimate.

KB/M won't help much. Most pc counter-strike get headshots 99.9% of the time. Also, PC will have access to higher power graphics, which comes with better view distance. The PS3 players will have to deal with far away players that are unseeable or pixelated that will be able to clearly see PS3 players.

It depends if the game shows if you're playing Windows or PS3. It would be Shadowrun kicking all over again.
