Now, I know some extreme PS3 fanboys do this as well, but i see it much more often as PS3 bashing occurs much more often. False facts are created to try to help their cause, although nothing of the sort was ever stated. Sometimes, written facts are argued. If I was to say: 'Microsoft has announced they would be releasing first party exclusive on the PS3 console, games such as Halo 3 and Gears of War 2' (which is far from the truth), I would be imitating many of the fanboy posts I see here. Now as a way to make this post relevant, how does everyone think DiRT will compare to Motorstorm?

I beleive Motorstorm has better graphics. I played DiRT today, it looks nice.. but not as good. Everything seems so flat and boring, the backgrounds don't add to it. It's WAY unrealistic, so I'm thinking its not meant to be a sim.. you can completely stop in like 2 seconds, it feels so loose its annoying, if u mess up a drift around a corner u can hit the breaks and stop dead b4 u hit a wall.. anyways, motorstorm is a lot more hectic, a lot more going on, scenery is better, vehicles are better and more satisfying to drive/wreck.

how can you literally say the vehicles are better in MotorStrom if DiRT uses licensed vehicles?!

Dirt is a lot better. I own Motorstorm, and it doesn't look as good as DiRT. DiRT's car models are amazing, and it has destructable cars too. Motorstorm's cars don't look that good, and they're not as destructable.
Dirt actually is pretty realistic, not on the Forza level, but still pretty close. Its all rally racing, so the cars are meant to drift through corners and slide around. Although I admit driving on a real track in the demo (the one with the Impreza) takes some getting used to after playing the Forza 2 demo.

Well i guess thats true(opinion wise) since MotorStorm obviously aims for an arcady type gameplay.

You should type that as an oppinion because its very incorrect.
Were talking about two completely different style of racing, In rally racing you slide through most corners (because of the track surface and car setup), Dirt is a realistic racer for its type of gameplay.
Dirt is a multiplatform game... however if it has more than eight tracks it will automatically be better than Motorstorm. There's something to be said for some variety in a game - something Motorstorm was severely lacking.

To be honest I was going to buy DIRT just because I own motorstorm and it is a great game and alot of fun online but due to the lack of features that didnt come in the game, I was hoping DIRT would fill that in, and DIRT did but once I found out they were only going to have time trials as there online feature, I was like man that just ruined it, no multiplayer? I mean the game had it all but no online multiplayer to me just stopped me from purchasing this game. Prolly rent it and try out the game and see from there or ill buy it or not.
