XPLAY reviews Assault on Dark Athena. I think I may cry. 3/5

The Good:

-Buther Bay is almost worth the price of admission alone

-Stealth gameplay is intense and rewarding

The Bad:

-Dark Athena strays too far away from the best elements of Butcher Bay

-Multiplayer is fun but lacks lasting appeal

It's sad to hear that Assault on Dark Athena isn't much of a stealth game. :( Still, worth buying to experience it, and we still get EfBB remade.

And they gave Infinite Undiscovery a 4/5, which was a 2/5 tops. I'm buying it, because a remade EfBB is enough for me, but whatever.

played the first a bit and played the demo for this game, it was great.

This is disappointing, but I can't say I'm surprised, the demo didn't fill me with hope.

Hah, xplay. I hold GS in higher regards than them. And that's not saying alot.

Besides its like 2 games in 1 with Butchers Bay on there, the Demo was pretty fun but knowing that I'm basically getting two games is reason enough to pick this up.

This is disappointing, but I can't say I'm surprised, the demo didn't fill me with hope.

So, Blood on the Sand is better than Dark Athena, according to X-Play?

And BotS is also comparable in quality to Empire: Total War?

It's more Riddick, I don't care how stealthy it is. If the demo is any impression, I will enjoy it a lot. Plus, it was never meant to be a full stealth game, but a combination of various genres. EFBB has enough stealth in it as is.

I dont care as long as a I get to experience EFBB again and get some online play out of it.

EFBB was the only movie themed title I found to be good. I can't wait for EFBB remake especially after playing the demo.

I'll get it because I'll finally be able to play Butcher Bay on a next gen system.DA is a bonus as far as I'm concerned. I like Adam Sessler, but I have never given Xplay reviews any thought, so whatever.

Exactly, man. Besides, the remake of EfBB is worth the price of admission alone. Getting to play a 12 hour sequel is simply icing on the cake, regardless if it is up to par with Butcher Bay or not. By the way, great sig.8)

Wasn't really fond of the demo and I LOVED EfBB to bits. Still expect it to get AA here. 8.0 is my guess.
