Yakuza3 >>> Just Cause2 and GTA IV

In my opinion Yakuza3 is better then Just Cause2 and GTA IV. Why you ask? Well for one its more fun and the main thing is the story/characters and how the game actually brings out emotion and feeling to the table aswell. Little things in Yakuza3 are what make it a great game imo. You actually feel for some of the characters and what not, its not just about mayhem and destruction here.

These kind of sandbox gangster games dont usually have alot of feeling or emotion put into the characters and story, but Yakuza 3 does it very well. Its also got some funny parts and some good art design.

Sure the graphics are not that great but to me a good story and a game that brings out emotion and feeling for characters is far better then meaningless destruction and what not. The combat at first feels a little clunky but later on as you upgrade and get new weapons it gets alot better.

If you have never played a Yakuza game and own a ps3 then rent or buy this game and give it a shot! It also has a good backstory that you can check out if you havnt played the previous games. I wish more games had this to be honest, explain what happened in the previous games in the series for new comers to the series.

I like it when games have me really into the talking/story of a game, im just as into the story and characters into this game as I am the gameplay.

Anyone else enjoying this Yakuza3 more then other Sandbox games?

Just my personal opinion, I wish more NA people would give this series a try! It reminds me a little of Shenmue, mixed with GTA!

Also, GTA IV is pretty damn light on mayhem and destruction, which alot of people took issue with I might add.

Story wise: Yakuza 3 and GTAIV are in a close tie for me.

Gameplay wise: GTAIV>YAkuza 3 except for the RPG elements including in the game(haven't played Just Cause 2 besides the demo)

Majora's Mask is such an underrated game. I would say that it is hands down the most unique Zelda game.

In my opinion Yakuza3 is better then Just Cause2 and GTA IV.

I thought there was quite a bit of emotion in GTAIV tbh.

I love Yakuza 3, but I don't think it is anywhere near as fun as Just Cause 2. That's like saying The Godfather or Scarface is more fun than Die Hard or Casino Royale.

That is the perfect combination of games in my opinion. But on topic I think Gta 4< Yakuza 3< Just Cause 2. GTA is a day one buy for me. Yakuza 3 is a $30 buy. Just Cause is a rent or borrow.

Just Cause 2 is better then both to me. Sure the story is lacking big time, which is where GTAIV excels, but Just Cause 2 has an unlimited supply of fun. There is so much you could do with this game that I don't think I'll ever get bored.

Yakuza 3 blows GTA 4 out of the water. There is no comparison. They are not even close. Just Cause 2...another run of the mill open world game that people are going to forget about in less then a month.

I'd be interested to read Famitsu's opinion of a game like GTAIV.

Disagree. GTAIV feels more alive and is much more bigger and immersive. Yakuza 3 = too many long convoluted cutscenes + not enough fighting sequences on demand.

Im having 100x more fun with JC2 then I had with GTAIV

I like the not-so-serious approach with sandbox games

I have Yakuza 3 just have not started it yet. GTA4 was horrible and Just Cause 2 is just awesome. I have to finish a few more game then i will start Yakuza 3. I cant imagine it being better than JC2 though, that game is just soooooo much fun.djsifer01

Anyway, I haven't played Yakuza 3 but I do know its focus is extremely different to a game like Just Cause 2.
